I'm not sure which is more disturbing, the crawling ice or the yapping witnesses who seriously need a hot mug of ST#U.
i think by the time that thing reaches the house, i will have already watched the Roland Emmerich movie about this true story
Something like this occurs every year this is just unusual for the size and lateness of it occurring.
Sad, but cool. I wonder what the ground looks like underneath afterwards? This is like a mini-glacier. That one poor dude's house is going to be a mess after that flow busted through his door. I like the girl yelling "Who do we call?!" God, lady... God.
This here dude predicted the "ice tsunami"... http://minnesota.publicradio.org/co.../2013/05/weather_carnival_ride_60s_fros.shtml Nothing FUNNY at all.
Serious question, wouldn't most minorities have just figured out a place to run to? Why is it always the white folks who stay around and videotape this stuff? Half the time I see stuff like this, I'm just like "RUNNNNNNN"
Firstly, you bring race into so many threads. Secondly, it's not like this was a shark or a tornado. It's a slow moving (relatively) flow of ice. Why did she need to run? The house was in danger because it can't move (and probably white, according to you).
To follow up on Yonkers post. This phenomenon happens every year, just not so large, so it's not like they haven't seen something like this before. As far as running one is still slow relative to human speed, two it is their house and they might have an interest in saving the house, and three even though this is a lot of ice it won't come in very far from the lake shore. It's not like this will suddenly bury somebody making a vid when you could just walk 50 away and be fine.
Which begs the question...why weren't those white folks playing hockey or curling on that beautiful unused slate of ice? < /coming from a white guy >
