IMO, HEB's Creamy Creations Cookies-and-Cream is better than Blue Bell. (And those are #1 and #2 in my favorite ice creams.)
If ANY of you who are in favor of HEB Creamy Creations say: Spoiler This entire BBS will hunt you down and kill you. Slowly. And painfully.
Blue Bell's "Good Heavens" was my favorite but I don't know if they make it any more. It hade homade vanilla and dutch chocolate with chocolate chip cookie dough in it. Pralines n Cream and Cookies n Cream are good also. HEB creamy creations is good too.
I was tempted to say the same thing...but HEB is a Texas company, too. Maybe they pay Blue Bell to make them ice cream, or maybe there is some industrial espionage going on...
I used to eat those back in Corpus, but there are no HEB's in the Dallas area . Or at least the area where I live at.
definately start with the cookies and cream. to me, blue bell is very overrated. Also i like the Private Selection premium ice cream. Ive only seen that sold at Krogers. It's kind of expensive, but sometimes it comes 2 for $6 with the kroger card.
i'm not sure where you heard that. HEB has their own ice cream plant in San Antonio. On top of that, if they contracted with Blue Bell, why does HEB's ice cream taste so much better? wouldnt make much sense, would it now?
I've never tried Southern Hosp., but I will...I have BB Vanilla Bean in my freezer now and in the summer, I'll get cookies and cream (my fav) and Chocolate Moolinium crunch (msp?)...mmm....
Blue Bell is whack. Great vanilla ice cream, but the rest is puny. Their cookie dough is one of the worst cookie dough ice creams in existence. Dreyes, HEB, Ben & Jerrys, etc. dominate Bell.
I don't really eat ice cream that often but don't get me started with ice cream! When I eat it, I usually eat Blue Bell buttered pecan or sweet cream from marble slab. Geez, now I want some ice cream!
Ice cream begins and ends with Graeter's Raspberry Chip, and by chip they mean chunks of fudge. Bill Clinton used to order this stuff for delivery from Cincinnati when he was in the White House. Greatest ice cream ever!
