Just a lazy 370 to kick off the tournament.

Not over yet. Indian bowlers, especially Shreenath not on his game today.

Did the poor baby get slapped and cry again?

Seriously why does this guy pretend to be tough on the pitch when he cried from a team mate slapping him?

Got to say, this tournament has almost no profile in Australia this time around. I've never experienced such a lack of interest for the Cricket World Cup in my lifetime.

I think the fact that most of it means very little, and its only worth watching at the very end doesn't help.

Its pretty open as to who will win it. I think you'd be hard pressed to bet against Australia even though this is the worst Australian side for about 20 years.

As for the health of Cricket, its definitely a dying sport. Even here in Australia, its not attracting the players it once did, interest in lower and its been squeezed by the football seasons more and more.

Where once Cricket was king in the Summer, now the headlines are STILL taken by the football codes.

You have Pakistan which is a basket case, no one can tour there and the players are throwing games so blatantly.

20/20 Cricket I dont think is anywhere near as popular as officials make out.

Test Cricket is all but dead. Unless its Aus, Ind, Eng or RSA playing one another, who cares.

    Its sad to see really.

I would also say the quality of games is far worse than it was say 15 years ago. Nearing the end of Australia's complete dominance over everyone else, I kept saying they were beating no one worthwhile, everyone else was playing terrible Cricket. Now we have fallen down to that level too.

    There's NZ vs AUS
and SAf vs WIN before then

They should all be great games.

No upsets so far and I am at 100% on ESPN's Cricket Pick'Em.

England nearly lost to Netherlands... that would of been awesome! England look terrible, probably safe to write them out of a chance.

Bangladesh defeats Ireland in a close one. Shafiul Islam comes and cleans up the tail w/ some nice in-swinging yorkers. First exciting match of the World Cup...

Can't wait for Pakistan vs Sri Lanka!
