Yuvraj was so impressive this tournament. Glad he won MVP. That last sixer by Dhoni to win the match was so amazing!

Yeah I remember you posting about that. hope you like the place.

I just drove my bike through Mandaveli, Adyar and then ended up at Elliots Beach, Besant Nagar. People were bursting crackers and celebrating. and some were driving around yelling "India, India" and starting hugging everyone on their way. was just awesome! :)

Agree. I also thought Zaheer Khan was awesome throughout. heading a not-so-good bowling attack is not easy at all. although he choked a bit in the end, he was overall super clutch throughout the tournament.

if you visit Chennai again, you must visit the new and improved Chepauk stadium. looks a little fancy now. and the design is so much better than the old one ( the prices have increased though :( )

Nice. I visit India once every couple of years to meet up with some friends. In fact, I used to exercise at the stadium when it used to be called MCC. I used to run laps around the cricket grounds. Also used the gym and pool. I haven't been to the stadium since it was renamed, but I've always wanted to catch a Superkings match there.

One of the greatest moments in cricket actually occurred at MCC when the crowd gave Pakistan a standing ovation when they won that test back in 1999.

When your teammates put you on their shoulders and take you around the field, you are the king.

"He's carried the burden of our nation for 21 years. It was time to carry him on our shoulders today." - Virat Kohli

Oh wow. That is just awesome! I never thought I would end up "meeting" a CF member who is so familiar with Chennai.

They call it MA Chidambaram (MAC) Stadium now. But Chepauk is the name that is more popular. You should pay a visit next time and share your views on the new design. You seem to be more familiar with the stadium that I am! Some of my friends dont seem to like it too much. Here are few images of the stadium. I went for the SA-England WC match.

And reg that historical event- i missed it :(. I went to watch the same match the previous day and didnt get tickets for the last day!

The IPL starts next week. I hope to catch up on a few games at Chepauk. Now that India has won, getting tickets is going to be tough!

Oh man!!!! What an amazing amazing amazing win for Team India!!!!!!!!!!!

I started doubting when Sehwag and Tendulkar got out, but do not underestimate the batting power house this Indian team is. Its literally an all star collection of 6-7 guys that can drop centuries on you any given day.

TEAM INDIA BABY!!!!!!!! 2011 WORLD CUP CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was just in Chennai at the end of December. My family is tamil but most of my family doesnt live there anymore. (no one on my dad's side is there and only a few on my mother's side) That said, I visited Chepauk while I was there and can only imagine how crazy it is right now.

You guys really make want to visit India again. Wish I was there.

Don't ever underestimate the heart of a champion.

Tendulkar, Dhoni, Zaheer, Yuvraj, Gambhir, Kohli, Harbhajan certainly have the hearts of champions.

So do Mahela, Sangakkara, Muralitharan, Malinga.

That guy who was bowling for Sri Lanka at the end had the heart of Nick Anderson.

No doubt. Kulasekara is not equipped to bowl such important balls. They should have gone with experience over match form

I was really surprised Sanga left out Mendis and Fernando...those tow have given us a lot of trouble before, Fernando especially and some of the guys would've had trouble with Mendis's spin. But whatever though Sanga cheated and the fool got what he deserved lol

Really disappointed Gambhir didn't get his 100. So close

We really need to invest in some fast bowling, Zaheer is too old (WTF last 2 overs???), Munaf is injured all the time, Sreesanth useless, Nehra useless. Need to develop some fast bowling for the coming years. Our batting is INCREDIBLY talented from 1 to 7 and big reason why we won
