I dont think you do. Sound is a mechanical wave that is an oscillation of pressure transmitted through a solid, liquid, or gas, composed of frequencies within the range of hearing and of a level sufficiently strong to be heard, or the sensation stimulated in organs of hearing by such vibrations. In simple terms, commercial jets don't go supersonic. For objects traveling in dry air of a temperature of 20*°C (68*°F) this speed is approximately 343*m/s, 1,125 ft/s, 768*mph or 1,235*km/h. Commercial jets such as the boing 747 travel maybe 570 mph.
I always wondered how fast commercial jets can fly. One time, I swear we broke the speed of sound. It was awesome.
