Also Greenwald isn't under possible federal indictment for felony voter fraud.

How's that going by the way? Anyone know?

Methinks you are projecting onto Greenwald a little.

Besides, Greenwald uses facts to buttress his arguments while Coulter makes stuff up to support her "positions."

And I somehow suspect Greenwald is a long way from being a featured speaker at a major Dem gathering... not to mention he may have a hard time influencing even his family with an endosement.

Mmmm, yes. There's no difference between me, a person who cites stuff written by Greenwald, and the goobers who applauded Coulter.

Oh, and that slam at mc mark... nicely done. Ann would be proud.

The fact that you try to link someone who expresses evidence based opinion and Ann Coulter, might indicate that you have more in common with Coulter than Greenwald does.

here is what I want to know

basso has said in the past that he generally likes homosexuals, and counts more than a few as friends...correct?

why is he not expressing indignation at this woman using a derogatory term for homosexuals?

she seems to represent the thinking of a good portion of his party as evidenced by the reaction she received at the meeting.

WHy are you not upset about her basso?

is your partisanship worth more than your morals? Do you think so little of your gay friends that you will endorse this woman, and by extension, her and your party?

just how much of a hypocrite are you willing to be for partisan politics basso?

I know this is a waste of my time since you seem to run when called on things like this, but wth, maybe since it is someone who doesn't normally participate in yall's mudslinging you might deign to provide me with an intellectually honest reply (that would be one that doesn't avoid my questions, in case you aren't sure what intellectual honesty is)

What a raging, maniacal, stupid, idiotic b****. Why does anybody still listen to what she has to to say about anything?

For the most part that is the case but there are a few. I consider Russ Feingold to be fairly principled and on the other side I think Sam Brownback sticks to his principles. As happens neither has a realistic shot at the Presidency.

Coulter unapologetic and Edwards looking to cash in.

Columnist under fire for gay slur
Coulter called Democratic candidate Edwards a ‘f*****’

    Reuters
Updated: 2 hours, 12 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - Outspoken U.S. conservative columnist Ann Coulter is drawing fire from Republicans and Democrats alike after publicly using a derogatory gay slur in reference to Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards.

“Ann Coulter not only once again went out of her way to use a nasty epithet, she pushed her offensiveness up a notch,” Amy Ridenour, president of the National Center for Public Policy Research, said on Sunday.

Coulter made the comments on Friday during a speech at the influential American Conservative Union’s Political Action Conference, calling Edwards a “f*****.”

“We conservatives have enough trouble overcoming the false things that are said about us without paying for a platform upon which we shoot ourselves annually in the foot,” Ridenour, whose group helped sponsor the conference, said in a statement on the center’s Web site.

Coulter said the comment was a joke and on her Web site she carried the speech with the comment, “I’m so ashamed, I can’t stop laughing.” She then said Edwards’ campaign chairman’s main job was “fronting for Arab terrorists.”

Edwards, a 2008 presidential contender and the party’s 2004 vice presidential candidate, said Coulter’s comments were ”un-American and indefensible.”

“The kind of hateful language she used has no place in political debate or our society at large,” he wrote in comments posted to his Web site on Saturday.

“I believe it is our moral responsibility to speak out against that kind of bigotry and prejudice every time we encounter it,” Edwards added.

The candidate also posted a video of Coulter’s comments, asking supporters to raise $100,000 in so-called “Coulter Cash” for his campaign to “fight back against the politics of bigotry.”

Coulter’s Friday speech raised objections from Republican presidential hopefuls Sen. John McCain of Arizona, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani as well as Democrats.

In a statement on Sunday, Romney spokesman Kevin Madden said, “It was an offensive remark. Political discourse ought to be more substantive and thoughtful.” McCain, the only contender who did not attend the event, and Giuliani called Coulter’s words inappropriate, according to the New York Times.

“Ann Coulter’s words of hate have no place in the public sphere much less our political discourse,” Democratic Sen. Edward Kennedy of Massachusetts said in a statement released on Saturday.

Several conservatives were also quick to denounce Coulter’s comments in a variety of online columns.

Coulter is no stranger to controversy.

At the same conference last year, she used the word ”raghead”—a slur against Muslims—in referring to U.S. homeland security policies. In a column published in the National Review after the September 11 attacks she urged an invasion of Muslim countries and forced conversion to Christianity.

Grr...attacking Ann Cloutier by raising "money to combat the politics of bigotry" is exactly why she's laughing her ass off and why she gets so much attention. Ech. Either ignore her completly or go kill her BUT DON'T DO SOMETHING IN BETWEEN. SHE FEEDS ON THAT STUFF.

Coulter seems to be up to more than just calling people names. Daniel Borchers, a conservative Christian and military vet who is writing a book about Coulter, got attacked and thrown out of CPAC by 4 men who seem to be Ann Coulter's bodyguards.

Edwards classy reply. I think the guy absolutely abuses the tort system and I am thoroughly disgusted with lawyers like him who profit off the pathetic litigation system we have, but his reply in this case is exaclty what was needed. I applaud him

It is the most faggy goddamned thing you could ever imagine with that San Francisco crowd. I can't shake hands with anybody from San Francisco." - Richard Nixon

She verbally expresses the taboos that a large number of conservatives are too much of a coward to openly express. That, and she’s hawt!

    right basso?

She's popular only because she taps into the most childish instinct of the most extreme on the right. I'm sure the left has a few whose mouth they wish would also shut up once in a while :D
