hello, everyone, i know this thread supposed not to be here. Hope the Manager willl forgive my mistake, if this should be removed or deleted, I also can accept! :p

But i really wonder that what are your opinions on another Chinese NBA player Yi Jianlian who is now playing for Nets(such detailed introduction is just in case you all even don't know him).

you all know the opinions from CHinese are mostly subjective, can you give me some objective ideas on him?

Yi can't play defense and is very inconsistent on the offensive end...

yi jianlian scored 31 points against the spurs with tim duncun playing, that pretty good, he is inconsitent and may go 3-9 in next game with only 8 points

I like him. Still has a ton of upside, despite what anyone says. It's extremely rare to have that size and be that fluid. His defense is lacking, and his FG and 3pt percentages are low, but you have to remember he is only 22 years old.

He needs to develop a better post game, but his outside touch is average. Has a lot of work to do in the future.

The problem with Yi is that I don't really see improvements. With Yao, you see the improvements year after year. You can see Yao making strides. Young players make their improvements in the offseasons. And Yao was able to do that despite having to play for the CNT. And I've always respected him greatly for that.

Yi? Not to much. But I guess some of it wasn't really his fault for getting drafted by Milwakee and traded to the god awful Nets. But it's still his fault for not being a gym rat.

    In my not-so-great Chinese: 易建联没有长进啊!打了这么长时间还是那个样子。任何nba明星都在前几年一部一部成长。易建联没有。刚觉他潜力有限。

The Chinese Dirk... he is not. Seems to have some good tools, but like meh just said, I don't know if it is the crappy teams, coaching or what but he has not progressed.
