How about S&T... Ryan Anderson for Jabari Parker. A 3 year deal starting at $20 million with year three a team option for Parker. It's CLEARLY OVERPAYING Parker, but you'd try and bet on a return to 2016/17 form. Meanwhile Milwaukee gets a floor spacer.
I guess I'd be okay going after Cousins but only If he's 100% healthy and we can find some way to hide him on D.
I asked in another thread. It might require a future first as well... but then might not. If there is any possibility Parker finds a decent annual check from some other team with cap space, which would force Milwaukee to match when they might not want him anyway... you might be able ot just convince them to get a floor spacer with less years left on the contract. Even though the Rockets will be really good again next year, it's just hard to see them so consistently and regularly trade away 1st round draft picks, lol. I mean, there's enough Kyle Kuzma's and "cough, cough" Clint Capelas out there that it hurts. I'd happily add 2nd round picks.
agreed. we took a 3-2 lead in WCF before CP3 went down, we're so close. we don't need LeBron, just need to upgrade a little bit on the right spots to be better than the warriors, that's 1.) a more reliable 3pt shooting at PF spot 2.) a backup for Clint and 3.) a backup PG. 4.) an inside scoring threat when our 3s not falling. here's the plan: Gordon + Anderson + Nene + Qi/Onuaku + 2019 1st pick (top 3 protect) + rights to Llull for Love + Hill bring back CP3, Capela, LMaM, Ariza, Green 1.) Love shoots .415 from 3, a huge upgrade from Tucker 2.) Love plays 4/5, can be a stretch 5 when Clint sits. 3.) Love can post up and score inside, this could be as huge as CP3's mid-range jumper when our 3s not falling. 4.) Hill is as bad a contract as Ryno, but at least he's a capable backup PG that we can use, and he shoots .415 from 3 as well. Hill also fits better than Gordon as an insurance at PG (Hill and Green will take the backup SG minutes when both Harden and CP3 are healthy) why the Cavs do this? (LeBron going to LA) i think Gordon at $13mil/yr. plus a 1st pick is as good of any deal they can get for Love. Hill is as bad a contract as Ryno's but they get an "asset" in Llull who the Cavs might turn into a 2nd rd pick from a team with cap space to sign Llull. Qi might be worth another 2nd pick from NY or LA because of the Chinese market. also this deal saves the Cavs probably $20mil. in cap and luxury tax. Capeal, (Love) Love, Tucker Ariza, LMaM Harden, Green CP3, Hill
the backup plan is: 1. bring everyone back. CP3, clint, ariza, luc, green 2. spend a first, second, and all of our cash if needed to move ryno for a less-bad contract and some cap relief to stay under the LT (d.carroll, r.lopez, t.chandler, k.koufos). 3. use MLE to bring in a playmaker like t.evans, w.barton, r.gay and it would be enough to beat the warriors so long as our main guys play all 7 games.
If Lebron walks to LAL, you try to get Love as some have mentioned. He is a MASSIVE upgrade from Ryno and showed fight in the NBA finals. His numbers against GS makes it an easy choice for Morey if the deal is right.
he brings the same issues defensively as Ryno when playing against GS the rox want to get away from that if anything
