Lakers? Really? The Nets have the best announcers, and it isn't even a contest.

I agree the commentators are probably the worst in the nba... I like the one where they say that AB's 3 point shots are a low percentage... or the the one where thy say scola is getting easy buckets... or where Amare is GOD.... they need to be punch in the groin so hard their kids feel it....

Suns guys sucked. The downplayed scola and said Brooks shots were low percentage so he is likely to miss if you let him keep shooting them or something.

as long as i've had league pass, they've had one of the better announcing crews. stu lantz is really good as a color commentator and joel meyers (who was seemingly annoying as a spurs announcer) does a good job as the play-by-play guy. i thought paul sunderland (pbp before joel) was good as well.

and as painfully homeristic as sean elliott is, no one holds a candle to heinsohn.

I didn't see the game on league pass, reading this thread has me pretty bent. It's ok, they will have an early exit in the playoffs, and I'll be waiting for them to stink it up next year, while probably losing Amare in the process.

I'll be patient waiting on next year to exact a little revenge

Haha, you raise a good point, but this was to the point where it distracted from the game. It was as if both broadcasters were color guys.

They managed to screw up lots of facts. They raked the Rockets over the coals for contesting foul calls with refs for a full minute after play had resumed. The called Lowry Landry during the 2nd quarter without catching themselves. They repeatedly stated "so-and-so takes a 3!!" when he would shoot from the free-throw line. They said everything short of "Michael Jordan should be kissing the feet of Amare Stoudemire."

    That's a good start. ;)

I have to say other than a few moments of brain malfunctions the Bobcats announcers weren't bad...

at least I didn't have to mute them like Clyde sometimes brings me to.. the man was slathering over Amare's jock just as much tonight as I would imagine the Suns announcers were. If I hear the man say one more derogatory thing about Chuck I might have to smack him when I see him. He thinks he's being funny with his crappy comments, but he's just being mean - and I have to say I love it when Bill calls him on it.

I didn't have to listen to the Suns announcers tonight, and I muted Clyde... so it was a nice peaceful game... sorry Bill, I did miss listening to you though.

Tommy Heinsohn (Celtics' color commentator) is probably the worst. Not surprising given how terrible Celts fans are--I had to suffer several years of Boston fans while living there. But these suns commentators were insufferable.

WOW!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!! I have been watching league pass as well this season. Those commentators are pitiful. Eddie Johnson is ignorant as hell and just plain makes me sick to listen to. What a stupid washed up moron.!!!

I've lived in Tucson, but I'm from Houston. These folks are living on thier own planet. I remember back during the 2006 playoffs I was watching a phoenix news station, and they had some blonde walking around Dallas asking questions to Mavs fans. When she was done she starts talking to the guy back at the desk and said "God Bob are'nt those Texas accents annoying" I thought about burying this ***** in the desert but calmed down. In AZ the people, animals, and even gangbangers are fake chicken azzes. None of them would last in Houston, they would pop up floating in the bay. GO ROCKETS!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I found that pretty comical. Why would the Rockets want to see what a playoff team looks like? We're not going to the playoffs. The Suns should worry about what OTHER playoff teams look like. Last I checked, the Thunder and Bucks spanked them pretty good.

I agree, but it's mainly because those guys also work for ESPN, so they don't really have any homerism.

New York isn't so bad either because of Mike Breen. Golden State Warriors commentators are also pretty good.

It's real simple- all you have to do is provide Phoenix Suns fans with 4 sets of numbers and it will shut them up real quick. First, the "bridesmaid" pair:

    1976.

    1993.

Then, as a special f**k you from Rockets fans:

    1994.

    1995.

For 1995, you can add 3-1. Enough said.

Actually, that's not enough said. Here's what I really think about the Phoenix Suns:

Screw the Suns and screw Phoenix. I hate Amare Stoudamire, their myopic fans, their poor decision-making owner, their thoroughly average coach, their ugly uniforms, their hot dog vendors, their blase dry climate, their arena, their cacti and Joshua trees, their cuisine, and most of all their amateur announcers who make Clyde Drexler the equivalent of Marv Albert and couldn't provide a reasonably partial analysis of a basketball game if it was artificially inseminated into their DNA.

    Steve Nash is OK.

In the first round of this years postseason, the Suns will see what a playoff team looks like.
