That's a good question. But I would have it no other way. I hate it when any of their songs end, even 20 minutes after it began. I'm an epic song lover and I love it when a song can take me through every fathomable emotion before the CD even skips to the next track. I guess that's what Ol' Maynard Wayne Keenan and the boys are thinking in production, that or they are in such a vibe that they play it out until the feeling finally subsides. But then again, I'll take out a Tool CD and pop in a punk or oldies one, with the longests tracks still falling short of 2 minutes. I'm weird.
Good lookin' out...my bad, I had the Blue on Black playing at the time, Kenny Wayne Shephard. Freudian slip. Sorry Maynard James Keenan. I know, that was worse than somebody hearing their wife scream another man's name in bed.
