In a couple of these Rocketscasts, even the one with Morey, you get the feeling they're ready to jump over the cliff over these LOF responses.

The Rocketscast is typically a good broadcast. Jason and Craig do a great job with it, especially now that they've started having guests.

For those of you who are not on Twitter, it's hard to know when the Rocketscasts are coming on. Those of you on Twitter (and who have the time or inclination) should post a link to the Rocketscast in the GARM whenever they're on so that the rest of ClutchFans can watch/listen.

Also, Jason gives me a shout-out almost every single broadcast, so there's that.

Clutch brought up the idea that the Rockets could make a trade that takes on some salary (expiring contracts) while acquiring some draft picks. Do you know which teams might be a likely trade parter given their current salary cap situation, in hopes to avoid the luxury tax? Which players could be moved? You guys do a great job on here!

The most obvious potential "luxury tax avoidance" trade partner is Chicago (Rip Hamilton). Others may include Boston or Golden State (each needing to drop 1 or 2 league minimum guys). There's also the possibility that a team hopelessly over the luxury tax threshold offers up a second rounder to take on a league minimum guy (who might otherwise cost that team an extra $1-2 million if he's still on the roster at the end of the year).

This is highly unlikely (i think), but could Morey possibly target this Chicago Bulls pick? While helping chicago avoid the luxury tax.

2013 first round draft pick from Charlotte
Charlotte's own 2013 1st round draft pick to Chicago (top-12 protected in the 2013 Draft, top-10 protected in 2014, top-8 protected in 2015 and unprotected in the 2016 Draft.) [Charlotte - Chicago, 2/18/2010]

I'm almost 100% positive that Daryl Morey has (or will) ask the Chicago Bulls about that exact pick as consideration for taking on Rip Hamilton's contract and dropping the Bulls below the luxury tax threshold.

I am also almost 100% positive that the Chicago Bulls will say "no" to Morey's request.

At BEST, the Rockets would get a future (lottery-protected) first round pick from Chicago. More likely may be that the Rockets get a couple of second rounders for their troubles.

Pau never wanted to come here, and I doubt if we can get major picks for him, if he wants to leave us.
