I'm sorry you went through those experiences, but I believe it is incredibly ignorant to say **** the police over just YOUR personal experiences. My dad was a cop for over 10 years in Galveston so he's seen it all. He's told me stories and I've asked him some things and not once did I get the impression that he or the force he was on abused their power. Now yes, they did at times go ticket hunting. But that's only because of what their superiors told them. Texas has no state income tax so you can imagine why they'd want them to write so many traffic, or speeding tickets. But let's be real they the majority of cops do a lot of good for our society and the risk their life every day to do so. I can't tell you how many times my father almost lost his life due to every day cop business.

Their are gonna be corrupt power abusers but that could be said with any profession. But cops are the ones people have the most stories about.

If you're on a dire situation and you need the polices help what are you gonna do then? Say "**** the police"?

Yup, I had long hair as a teenager and into my 20's and never had a bad experience either. I am sure it happens, but bad to judge an entire group.

Also, if you are screwing in a vehicle on non-private party you know there is a chance you will be busted..

Exactly. Bats is making broad stereotypes, which is a wrong thing to do.

What he didn't tell you is that back in the day he did a lot of drugs and was a frequent abuser of alcohol. Based on this thread, I guess he also had sex in public.

....but yeah, the police are the ones who are screwed up.

Good luck to ya, pgabs. If there's potential to put something on your record, you might want to lawyer up or at least get a professional consultation or two.

I was in a drunk tank at Orange County. The cops there were alright. One told me to learn from the mistake and never end up here again. Pretty bad experience with the waiting, questionable drunks, and the booking. Can't imagine what a real holding cell would be like.

Good thing I didn't need to use the toilet.

It's funny to me that you of all people would have a problem with stereotypes. Not trying to start anything but you have to admit that's funny. You and your brother are FOR racial profiling for Christ's sake.

I've been pretty open about my drinking and drugging here and anyone that cares to knows who I am in real life too so I think it's kind of silly to act like I'm withholding. And yes, I've had sex in public lots of times.

Mostly when I said "**** tha police" I was just doing an N.W.A. callback because I love N.W.A.

I appreciate the police. I appreciate that they do a dangerous job to protect us. And I've called on them before and been very glad they were there. Other times I've called on them and been very disappointed they weren't able to do anything, but that's the fault of lawmakers, not the police.

And I appreciate how hard their jobs are. I just wish they weren't so often dicks about it. I have a hard time thinking of any other profession where the professionals are so often so dickish. Who else but a guy with a gun gets away with regularly telling the people he's supposed to be serving (as well as protecting) to "shut the **** up?"

    It's a culture and it's ugly.

    And I still love N.W.A.
