    A rocket was.....[IMG]

    Let alone a Houston Rocket......[IMG]

But all that's irrelevant right? lol basically.....

I made this thread to say that I now KNOW what both are and as a Houston native and Rockets fan I would LOVE to see us back to where we were 17 years ago, do yall think we will ever get there again?

Watching the Heat celebrate last night and many teams prior to, I can't help but to think I WISH THAT WAS THE ROCKETS IN THAT POSITION!! Everyone I know here in Houston talking about going to South Beach to celebrate and stuff but when will WE be able to stay here in our own city and celebrate a CHAMPIONSHIP from one of our teams?? If not from the Rockets, the Texans, Dynamos or Astros? We need some type of excitement in professional sports for our city!

    That is all.......:)

I was 7 and 8 in 1995, and the NBA was the N, the B and the A to me.

Thanks for clarifying that you were two different ages in 1995. I would have been very confused.

FYI that photo is from the '94 championship I believe, not '95. Still good times. Costas looking like Ferris Bueller. Stern still wearing some dignity,

Stern looked like he was about to cry after we beat the Knicks.

Good grief. I had already been with my S.O. for over 20 years by then, yet my son was just a toddler. 1994 was a great year. So was '95!

Where did the great years go? I want them back.

I was too young to truly appreciate both Championships as well.

I remember it a joyus feeling that I had, and also that I felt from people around the city of Houston. It was a happy time and a great memory.

its definitely 94, because there is otis and you can see kenny's hairline through the opening in the snapback.. in 1995 kenny was bald.. i wonder if kenny is bald by choice? he had a full head of hair with no signs of MPB one year, then completely bald the next year, hes been bald ever since..

Hey, we could have that championship feeling in the city of Houston. We got the Texans, and I feel like it's their year coming up, barring any injuries. *Knocks on wood*

A big part of me wants it to happen just to see how the city will react. I know we have a bad rap for fans but if we were to win, how crazy do y'all think the city will celebrate? I bet the parade will be crazy!

I was born that year. So I have no idea what it feels like for my team to win a championship. I don't even know how/why I'm still a rocket fan

Weird? I didn't know people went and celebrated other cities' championships.

Watching my favorite NHL team go deep into the playoffs really made me realize how much I miss the Rockets at least being in the 16.

If you want to earn the title 'die hard fan', you're not a fan just because your team wins. You're a fan because they're your team. Once they win, the glory will taste so much sweeter.

Yeah. I understand. It's just that nothing positive has happened with the rockets all my life. I guess tmac/yao but we didn't get much done. I guess it is just hope that keeps me going.
