I was got caught in the park with a girl once. The cop was cool about it and told us of a spot in a neighborhood that was secluded that anyone hardly drove by there. lol

 

He probably was a sick pervert that installed a camera at the "secluded" spot to watch you two get at it. Then he probably beat off to the tapes and sold them online.

Are loitering and trespassing both the same level of offense?

I thought being at a park past closing was considered trespassing?

I was in a situation where a friend and I were driving around. I guess he had heard earlier in the night that some people we didn't even know really were hanging out at this park. They had congregated there to drink alcohol. He insisted on pulling in the park after driving by seeing two cars there even when I begged him not to..cause it was around midnight and I knew what would happen. But, he did anyway and the cops promptly pulled in shortly thereafter (we weren't even there two minutes!). Gave us the whole bit about park is closed and we were trespassing. Cops promptly searched us and all cars. Friend almost went to jail for having hard liquor, being drunk and driving, etc. . Cops threatened him whole time with jail but ended up just writing tickets to everyone for minor in possession of alcohol. I was b****ing at my friend the whole time telling him what an idiot he was...after cops were also telling him what an idiot he was. He had more on him than just alcohol and I had no idea he had it but cops found what he was hiding. He was even implying to the cops that what he was hiding in his car was mine and I put him in his place in front of the cops. He was being a scared pussycat afraid to go to jail and how it would affect his college career. Cops were literally laughing at him when he told them his career path given all the bad decisions he had made that night. We were not friends after that one. I wanted nothing to do with the idiot after that.

 

Back when I was in high school I would run a track or park at 2am. It was cool out, nobody else was out, no traffic, and I was up late because I had no job, no worries. Plenty of reasons to be at a park late that aren't sinister in nature.

Anyways, if it was me, I'd do trial by jury then wait around for the thing to get dismissed. There is probably illegal activity in that park or maybe someone called in a complaint so they just ticketed you. Fight it, get it dismissed. Wont be hard.

 

Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.
