I already said they were some people who quip with using Americans to refer to USA-persons (I have found it more irritating to South Americans than Mexicans for whatever reason), just like there are some people who want at Austin tacked on, or the fellow who insists you add FRANCE after Paris lest one get confused with Paris, Texas

But the vast majority of people in Texas, USA and the world know what you mean when you say I attended the University of Texas or I am an American or I am going to Paris. But I am glad to see you are sticking up for the fight that we should refer to ourselves as Americans from neither Canada nor the nations of the Americans south of the United States of America. I had no idea you were so sensitive to other cultures bigtex.

 

I think it was hilarious how many people dawned UT gear after they won regardless of their association to the actual school. They were everywhere. If you were looking at Austin from space, then it must have appeared as a big orange spot. A lot of people jumped on the UT gear bandwagon. This is indisputable. But, the most hilarious part is situations like these where some dumbf*ck feels the need to call one out to try and show your not, in any way, associated with the school OR to call you out as a bandwagoner...as if their saying "I went to UT so I have a right to wear the gear and you don't". I feel sorry for these despicable human beings.
