Actually, I just got into opera and Sinatra quite a bit. But there are other things I can't stand, like RATM, even though most of my friends make me listen to them all the time. I've stated this before. I've downloaded songs on over 20 CD's, all labeled "Jim Crap" with the # it is. My friends hate them, yet they always shove one in because my eclectic tastes always have a few songs on each one that someone will like. As I said, I feel I already did that, and I'm still willing to listen to anything. I just don't venture out to find it anymore. And this is one thing that I've never been snobbish about, although I will say that I've no problem telling someone I think a song sucks. (and to be fair, I did include "Anything Nickelback" in my Annoying list last month. Just because I like them doesn't mean I should exclude them when I know people don't like them on this board.) One of these days, I'll get XM, but until then, I typically listen to talk because most of the songs on the radio suck. (weren't expecting that, were you?) But I did just put my top ten list of albums in the other thread, just for you Manny.

You've already said that music isn't important to you, and yet you continue to spout off about how you seem to know so much about a subject that, admittedly, you don't care that much about. I won't tell you that you're wrong for liking what you like. But, musically speaking, Nickelback is NOT a good band. While music opinion is, much like everything else, entirely subjective, it is basic music fact that what Nickelback puts out is simplistic. Simple. Get it? To name a few. Leave music discussion to those who actually give a damn. You're Creed collection is missing you, I'm sure.
Aint nothing wrong with simple music. Paint it black was a pretty simple song. 90% of punk songs are simple. I think I've got decent taste in music (subjective statement caution) and I hated most of Nickleback stuff. But at the same time when a song I liked comes out, I have no problem liking a single song from a band I don't like.
Not busting your ass, but their are MANY worse bands out there. Nickelback ain't great, by my own admission (hence why they were placed in my annoying music tourney) but I'm sick and tired of the bandwagon dumping. Quite frankly, it is almost like: Not liking Nickelback = internet music nerd. Just quit it. They are what they are. And they are far better, at least for what mainstream radio has to offer, than countless others. Hell, at least they write their own music. Something a "rap" star hasn't been able to say since Run-DMC figured out sampling.
Great point. And AC/DC is among the top 5 hard rock bands of all-time. This is widely acknowledged. Led Zeppelin is up top, and AC/DC is right there in the next tier. Calling them a "joke band" makes one sound like a kid who doesn't realize there were other bands before Nirvana.

I just listend to it. It is horrible. Between that and Anna Megan, I'm not sure which is worse. This could constitute torture under the Geneva convention guidelines.
