This sounds ridiculously funny. Mel Gibson's speech to the troops in Braveheart would be my suggestion, along with some campy Danielle Steel-esque pansy romance crap. 1. Coach on a Mobile 2. Steve McKinney's show (and 99% of the morning show in general, except the aforementioned gambling & fantasy sports discussion) 3. Off beat commercials (Trailer W&F, Egan & Henson occasionally), if we have to sit through commercials, at least make 'em a bit entertaining Alls I got off the top of my head.
A whole thread from the Debate & Discussion forum - but only Trader_Jorge's and Sam Fisher's posts in that thread, responding to each other.
How about John, Lance and Van reading a scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail? Van reading the intro to Star Trek. Van's rendition of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds?
i really like the lucy in the sky... and the others. these are great! Listen for them starting next week.
I'd love to hear Van reading from a scene in Pulp Fiction as Jules (Samuel L Jackson). http://www.godamongdirectors.com/scripts/pulp.shtml Now is the REALLY Van or Lance doing his Van impersonation?
610 needs a new interview segment called, "Smegtions and Answers." Quite simply, famous athletes (and coaches) will be barraged by a smattering of typical Smeg questions (of course, from our very own SmeggySmeg). "If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?" "If the Rockets were a piece of furniture, what would they be?" "If your season was to be compared to a type of candy bar, what would it be?" "Describe your coaching style without using the letter "T" in your answer." "In haiku form, please explain why you missed the team flight." Hell, I'd listen to that.
1. The President's speech from Independence Day before they attack the aliens. 2. Some old school Run DMC lyrics 3. Linus's speech at the play in Charlie Brown Christmas (lights please.) 4. Fresh Prince theme song 5. Edgar Allen Poe..."Nevermore..." 6. Anakin Skywalker and Padme's crappy love dialouge from Episode 2. 7. "These aren't the droids you are looking for." 8. Dean's *scream* speech 9. I have a Dream speech. 10. The "real" lyrics to "Louie, Louie"
I'll add some more: 11. Mel Gibson's Braveheart speech (before battle) 12. Green Eggs and Ham 13. Lyrics to REM's "It's the End of the World As We Know It" (fast!) 14. Lyrics to Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire" 15. Lyrics to Divinyls' "Touch Myself" 16. Lyrics to Vanilla Ice's "Ice Ice Baby" 17. Nixon's "I am not a crook" speech 18. Belushi's "Nothing's over till we say it's over" Animal House speech 19. Gollum speak from LOTR (ex: "We swears to serve the master of the precious. We swears on... on... on the precious.") 20. Emperor Palpatine's ROTJ speech to Luke: "Everything that has transpired has done so according to my design. Your friends, up there on the sanctuary moon, are walking into a trap, as is your Rebel fleet. It was I who allowed the Alliance to know the location of the shield generator. It is quite safe from your pitiful little band. An entire legion of my best troops awaits them. Oh... I'm afraid the deflector shield will be quite operational when your friends arrive."
definitely green eggs, animal house, and ice ice baby! Awesome. He's donig the readings tomorrow at 11. I'll see if I can't get you guys a sneaky peak before it airs. Chance
Congrats. Get rid of football, baseball, highschool and college talk, news and the rest of that boring stuff and turn it into Rockets garm radio . net!!
