Thanks for all of the comments and suggestions. I have copied and pasted the thread to ponder at work. AB - I will continue to fight the power and will call you Monday. In Hoc as always DaDa, White Cross baby. It was refreshing to get home at 2 in the mornign and see 28 posts on this thread...you guys are phenomenal. Rocket 104 - The station is still a sports station but has realized (finally) that there is more to life than sports. Last time they had this epiphany they screwed up and went overboard. That will not happen again. It will be a sports station that does not shy away from crap that interests people that dig sports. There will be more pop culture stuff with my addition. They have given me artistic input on what works and what doesn’t so I will aid in steering it to overall interesting stuff. I’ll follow up tomorrow. I’m a little tipsy and do not want to be held accountable for anything else. Peace.
Chance-- congrats grat stuff Perhaps more cred for when some dude from australia calls talkback instead of no your not really are you and then being put on hold for ages...... what about hosts who don't just b**** about the Houston teams, that Matt Jackson is the prime example, even when the Rockets wins all he talks about if what went wrong and the mistakes...... sounds familiar doesn't it......
chance.. I dont know if its possible, but one thing I'd definitely like is the station to be broadcast on the internet.. I believe they considered doing it before or something and it costs money etc, but there are plenty of other sports stations that do it... would love to be able to hear it now that I'm out of town...
Nice job Chance. I heard you the other day on the morning show talking with John and Lance after you said you've been hired. Congrats, you've landed a dream job for a sports fan. I guess I'll chime in with a suggestion. Let's get some more Rocket talk on the station.
Did that really happen? I think I heard something similar to that on the Rudy T. Show. After you hung up they still didn't believe and wondered why you didn't have an accent. That sucks but funny.
