I really do like our 4's, but with our ever-decreasing inside defensive presence, I dont know if teaming these two will compensate for their lack of d prowness. In years past we haven't particularly needed a 4 to d up, but "thangs done changed". Unless Cato establishes some consistency as a shotblocker we need to shore up the d at 4. I always thought pig could hold his own against anyone but maybe I was halucenating. ------------------ "Isn't the purpose of the game to put the ball in the basket?" Manal, just got back into town and saw your post. I think you might have misread me a little. I did not see anything about KT's defense that indicates he can stop big PFs from getting sweet-spot positioning. I'm withholding judgement on him being able to stop bulky bodies from dislodging him. What he is doing is showing the ability to prevent people from going around him. [This message has been edited by heypartner (edited October 16, 2000).]
we should go for theo ratliff. hes an excellent shot blocker and is a rebounding monster so he would compliment mo well. It would probably take at least kenny to get him though.
Even better than the fact that e have a good PF combo, is the fact that we have a good young combo that will get better. ------------------ I'ma need more than 6 and a half rebounds a game from the PF
The Sixers love Ratliff, and he's exactly what a lot of teams need. I don't think anything on our team short of Francis, Mobley, or Anderson would be enough to get him here. Centers who can defend, rebound, block, and give you 12 points/8 boards/3 blocks a night are extremely valuable these days. ------------------ Looking for next year's Dan Langhi?
