Yes they are far apart on defense. And I a big Reed fan but can’t be saying that with a straight face. Amen is one of the top 5 defenders in the entire world.

We need him to develop on that front. I think we have to be patient with that, but saying there’s not much of a gap between Reed and Amen is absolute nonsense. Right now Reed is a bad defender. Amen and Reed's situations are vastly vastly different. People really need to see why you keep playing Amen despite his on the ball shortcomings and why you cant play Reed if he isnt absolute nails on defense and offense. FVV doesnt have the mental lapses Reed does (frankly neither does someone like Jamal Shead which is annoying). I can deal with his physical shortcomings, I cant deal with him being lazy with the ball or on defense. Which happened multiple times yesterday. In a ****ing row.

I like Reed too, I think he has star potential and want him to succeed obviously, but I'm gonna call it how I see it. Not gonna blame the coach when he was getting cooked on every possession and couldn't make up for it offensively

 

Just playing Reed Sheppard 30 minutes a game at the expense of getting scored on & low iq turnovers isn't a good idea
