I think the Rockets are being insincere about McGrady

I think he is past that, he is falling into Stephon Marbury category.

Pieces being added to the puzzle IMO. Adelman was following Morey's line, but as it turns out, the reason is that he is perhaps fed up with T-Mac and can't see that any incremental improvement in the loss column is worth the development of younger guys slowing down.

Rick has worked very hard on this team and I can see that. It's difficult to now include someone who may change that.

But again, he should have been honest. When T-Mac went to his office, it was most likely because someone told T-Mac that Adelman is not sure he'll fit in. Rather than being Morey's megaphone, Adelman should have told Morey/Mac that it would be in everyone's best interests if he was traded/cut. Instead, he waited to be sure that his plan for the season CAN work (decent record with young guys) before declaring it.

    Les is concerned about insurance.
    Morey about trade value.
Adelman about uncertainty in W/L column.

Which makes sense. But when the economy is bad (owner), trade value is hit by injury (GM) and it is a contract year (Mac and Adelman) then the collective pressure may cause the team to implode.

At this point I have to say T-Mac has been the most sincere but the least proffessional. Morey and Adelman have been the most proffessional but least sincere. I think an organisation and its staff have to be both sincere and proffessional.

I hope Adelman opens his mind to the fact that he has to coach who we have and that freezing mac out is bad for his trade value and hence bad for the organisation. Mac is doing the right thing - since initially getting frustrated as hell, he has been very calm and collected and has said that he will do what coach/GM advise him to do.

teams are willing to trade for mcgrady and he'll get a starting job next year somewhere. he may be an immature brat off the court, but when healthy, he's a wonderful player on the court.

Les is happy, insurance paying mac's 23 million or at least a big chunk of it. Morey's stuck in the middle. RA doesn't feel like we need him.

this is not going to be good for mac. he'll end up on a crappy team, trying to play for his next contract before the season's over.

i don't care what happens, as long as it's resolved and we can move forward. i still hope tracy can play for us after hearing what elson turner said after practice. that tracy can definitely elevate us.

but i'm fine if tracy's moved. another era has already begun anyways.

Very interesting take on the whole situation. Rockets have to do what is best for the org. If keeping him out 1 or 2 more game and they save 80% of his salary, then that is a no brainer.

This is getting more interesting. I mean why ROCKET can't make a deal with TMAC about playing date? Clearly Tmac knew ROCKET wants insurance money and he agreed MRI date to make sure it.

    Here is what may happen

Tmac thought as soon as Rocket get insurance money, he should able to play. However, Rocket wants to look good then hold him back for a while. Boom!!! Tmac feel he is getting rid of. For RA, he is clearly still angry about last season that he knew Tmac's decision from press.

All in all, Rocket will be in trouble, especilly if Tmac is indeed health. If that happen, insurance company, NBA, media....will all come after Rocket.

Like i say, this is fun.
