Actually I think it was their attempt to transition to grown-up roles and tack on to the yuppie setting, but it was either five years too late, or too early, considering the thematic shift and explosion in romantic comedies in the early '90s.

Cage is an acceptable actor. Mainstream movies just got really narrow, and then insanely lucrative ($10 - $20 million paydays), in the last fifteen years.

Everybody freeze! Everybody down on the ground!

Well, which is it, young feller? You want I should freeze or get down on the ground? Mean to say, if'n I freeze, I can't rightly drop. And if'n I drop, I'm a-gonna be in motion, you see?

I've been around Caucasians my entire life, Moes, most of them are a lot less needy and regressive than you.

Never saw at Elmo's fire. AND I HAVE SEEN 80's movies. And it really just looks awful.

Was that the end of the brat pack? Because I have seen all the others.

What are you talking about? So nick, Sean, judge, Jennifer Jason Leigh and phoebe aren't brat pack

If not, then let's say the brat pack era.

"Edwina's insides were a rocky place where my seed could find no purchase."

That's one of the greatest one-liners in movie script history.

I still put Big Lebowski over Raising Arizona, but yes as far as reputation this probably makes it as the most underrated Coen Bros movie.

Nor are Jennifer Jason Leigh, Eric Stolz, Forrest Whittaker or that My Favorite Martian guy. And it's '82 so it pre-dates the brat pack era, especially the high-school part to which you've linked it: in by '84 and completely done by '88 to make way for Phoenix, Depp, Ryder and the Coreys.

I don't think Cruise is a member of the Brat Pack. He did one film.

Emilio, Anthony Michael Hall, Molly Ringwald, Rob Lowe, Judd Nelson, Demi Moore, Ally Sheedy, Andrew mcCarthy.

    That's the Brat Pack.

Original Brat Pack. Modine, Sheen, Penn, Cage were not conisdered a part of the group.

Some film histoy: Stanley Kubrick wanted Anthony Michael Hall as the lead in Full Metal Jacket. Negotiation went on for almost a year but Hall wanted too much money. Modine was cast instead.
