What about Asik who got benched in favor of Smith? Should we trade Asik now?

How about the time when Beverly got benched in favor of Lin even though Beverly was outplaying Lin? Was McHale not trusting Lin then?

What about D-Mo who we are trying to develop? He got benched in favor of Delfino, it's obvious McHale will never trust him so lets' bench him before his value drops.

Les would not want to see history repeat itself by trading away Lin only to see him flourish somewhere else.

same schit happened to brooks, lowry, and dragic

here's the thing about the backup PG

they have MORE ENERGY coming off the bench. they are not averaging around 30mpg so they have more energy to put into defense.

If beverly going to start, his defense will drop and everybody will want to trade him.

lowry did that as a backup. everybody wanted him to start. once he started, he didn't play as good defense as a bench player. Dragic (tries to) plays good defense no matter the minutes given to him.

You can't expect Lin to be exceptionally well on both side of the court. Even effin Harden doesn't do that.

For McHale, he doesn't usually distribute minutes well. I think the players like Chris Finch more than McHale.

Need to stick with the Team concept and let Lin develop as a starting PG. This is his first full season as a starter and I am sure he will adjust in time and get better. I don't see the reason to trade so quick in just one season's time. Let's see how he does the rest of this season and next before rushing to trade him.

Yea I'm happy he's got money. Brings more to the local economy. You don't get any of his money so what makes you so happy??? Heck he might even stop by my business and drops a couple bucks so of coarse I'm happy for him. Btw he does not need basketball to succeed he is very intelligent.

Are you kidding me? You're really going to argue McHale trusts Lin? Am I in bizarro world? Why is it so important to you? A lot of coaches don't trust young PGs. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH A COACH NOT TRUSTING A PLAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It simply means we have to get one that he does trust, especially because it's the PG spot. Why are you wasting your time arguing this?

and seriously, this is the second time I've told you to check my op again on my thoughts about Delfino and D-Mo. I'd appreciate it if you'd take the blinders off.

Well I'm Asian, so are you going to make good on your post and donate the $100 to the tip jar? Or are we going to pretend that post didn't happen since it was on the last page

So for the posters that want to keep him, I am curious as to why?

I think it is better for him to play on a team with a coach that trusts him. Reunite him with Dantoni and I think he will do very well.

To me, Rockets are going a different direction and with Beverly and Brooks, the team is paying alot for a player that don't really utilize. I mean, Beverly probably makes 10% of what Lin gets paid.

So this is good for all parties

So if Lin sucks, then essentially Rockets won't get fair value unless Morey can convince the Clippers that Bledsoe will demand too much money.

Lakers offer expiring contracts of Steve Blake, Chris Duhon, and Darius Morris. Blake and Morris both can play Lin's role now.

My thing is that decision making is not something that you can develop, it's kinda inate. A jumpshot you can develop, that homerun mentality that Lin has? I don't think that can be changed. I'd like to move him for value after this season as opposed to trying to get something for him after next season.

It's not about Melo's relationship with Dolan (they're not BFF's. I'm assuming you made this up or believe what the NYDN/unnamed sources say). It's about winning and if Grunwald could bring Lin back, he would. Their guards can't penetrate, Felton has below average court vision (pnr's all day & he can barely manage that), and Lin would be considered a godsend on D since their perimeter D is so bad. Lin would be useful there; he's better than the rumored players they're looking at (D. West for this season and Jennings for next season)

    This would be quite embarrassing.

Again, what is wrong with you people judging Lin based on that Wizards game? He was sick as a freaking dog, and shouldn't have played. Criticizing his for the Bucks game is fair...re wasn't great down the stretch, but wasn't the reason why we lost.
