Nobody said Lin isn't good. stop reading in between the lines. He's not a fit for this team, and he wont be as long as we have harden and the way coach runs the offense. He should be traded like the majority vote of these forums agree with. It's whats best for the team. I hope Lin continues to do well this season so he'll have some value in the off season.

It is Mchale that does not fit the team.

Actually it's not. The GARM is for the Rockets and the Dish is for other NBA stuff and the board is for English posts and things like this have been determined. You're totally wrong if you think the GARM is for "whatever."

Ridiculous. Harden needs help, he can't do it all by himself. Who handles the ball besides Harden if they get rid of Lin? Bank on getting a better PG in the draft? Good luck, the Rockets won't have that high of a pick anytime soon- they're good now. The more Lin plays like he did tonight, not trying to do too much, but still aggressive and effective- the more McHale will trust him and let him actually play PG. Lin absolutely has a place on this team. Him and Harden could be a really dynamic duo and they should be given every chance to make it happen going forward.

People act like this team was built for a championship this year. We are the youngest team in the league. We weren't even suppose to be in the playoff picture even with the harden trade. I'd say we've been overachieving. Remember all the pro tankers? Umm yea where are they now? Probably rooting for a low seeded playoff birth like everyone else.

But obviously, the LOFs want him traded because they want to see Lin dominate the ball for 48 minutes, and the LOH want him gone for obvious reasons.

You're absolutely right. he cant. and when harden isn't doing well we can trust lin as far as you can throw him. He'll have a good game here and there but we need another star to help harden out thats consistant.

Realistically i cant see Lin dropping around 15 a game, much less being able to step up without harden. Harden will have his off games, right now its just the draw of a straw who steps up when he not in sync. Parsons for example was the guy tonight and i trust him a lot more than i do Lin.

But he's already averaging 13 and 7 and 2stls. Look I hate Lin fans more than anyone else cos they're so disrespectful and just annoying. And I hate Lin's scrub mentality cos he's been given an opportunity people would die for yet he's playing like a scrub, which to me is like if you're not gonna play like a star or like a 25 million dollar man than go get a job pushing papers.

But dude there's no-one better on the market. And anyone else at age 24 averaging 13/7/2 at 50% shooting is gonna cost you HEAPS. And you need a point guard dude far-out you're so stupid its ridiculous.

Just face it you don't like the Rockets. Here is a player that is playing well and getting better all of the time, he is helping his team when games and all you can do is run him down. He has a lot of upside and a long future as the Rockets starting PG, you might as well open your eyes and see that he is good player and will only get better.

If we can get Gogi back I'd be up for it. Spurs would stand no chance against us with spurskillers on our team like him and Harden. Otherwise, no point in trading him away.

Spurskiller my goodness. He got red hot for one game against the Spurs. In the other 3 playoff games against SAS, he went 4-18 FG, 0-7 from 3pt, 3-6 on FTs on aggregate, and averaged 3.3pts/game on ~12min/game.

    Hmm ....

    But I do like Gogi.

Lin went 38 and 7 against the Spurs this year.

Yeah, great idea. Let's trade Lin for that PG who is the #1 option and heart and soul of the Sun's offense...and averages the same stat line.

    Nostalgia kills.

Same stat-line, but would fit in better with Harden. Plus, its obvious McHale and Sampson liked Gogi better anyways.

Do you even know how many PGs average 15 a night?

And go look up Lin's per36 numbers. I'm pretty sure given the sparing minutes he's been getting from Mchale it will look a whole lot better.

that and the guy has made major improvements from the start of the year till now. Heck go compare his 2012 numbers vs 2013 if you don't believe me.

You need to update your narrative. After 6 months of them playing together, it you rip Lin out and slot in Gogi, you are not going to make the team better.

Coaches like winning, and that's all. Gogi had a lot of wins added last season. If you bring him back, he won't be doing any of the heavy lifting next to Harden so he gets treated the same as Lin is now.

And he's older and has a garbage contract. It is a completely unjustifiable move. No ground to stand on at all.

    Lin has so much potential.

I say keep him. You could get so much for a T-Rob/DMO plus filler right now.
