Yeah but you can't just say "All Lin fans don't care about the Rockets". They may not be loyal to the Rockets - but why should they be? If their hero is Lin then that's their hero. They aren't any worse than people who only become fans when the Rockets are in the finals.

A lot of the Chinese fans on here were once YOF and very annoying. A lot of them are still here.

i picked yes as OP stated if his min is dropped. here is my reason. if he plays less, it means he is probably a backup. we can't afford 8 mil backup. that is too much. i rather use his money on a good pf, for example.

I agree with you. Let them love Lin more than God: I don't care in the least. I'm just saying, if people lean toward "Down with the Rockets, up with Lin," then this is the wrong board for that.

The only thing we can say now is that McHale is pretty hard on Lin, maybe even harder than on other starters. It's not necessarily a bad thing though. All depends on how Mchale delivers it and how Lin takes it.

Yeah, and call them out on it when they do it. But I find a lot of times it FEELS like that's the case when they haven't actually stated. And you have to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Wow. After starting at 70% and dropping all the way down to just over 50%, the "trade Lin" vote is starting to move back up.

LOF = wanted Lin to go to other teams because of McHale
LOH = wanted Lin to go to other teams because he is just not that good
Rest = doesn't matter as long as we got a W and this young team and the backcourt duo is fun to watch. Have a lot of potential

LOF = wanted Lin to stay and McHale go and Lin improves with this young team
No LOH will want Lin on this team
Rest = doesn't matter as long as we got W and Harden, Lin is just a PG who can be traded.

I don't know how many of you really watched the NBA for a long time, but when a young player shows constant improvement + flashes of brilliance (especially in his first year), it usually means he's going to become something really good in the future.

It would really be a shame if we did trade him because I think the ceiling for our backcourt starts with the OKC game, and with the rate that Lin is improving, I wouldn't say it's impossible to get there again and again.

It's like Magic Johnson and DAntoni says, he's done it before, why wouldn't he do it again. And I highly doubt the coaches are holding him back. I believe it's more to do with experimenting the rotations. Once things are more stable and set, I'd expect Lin's minute to be adjusted well and become he'll again become a major threat when he's on the court.

Right now teams are already starting to double and force him to give up the ball which tells you that he's scary enough to force other teams to adjust against him. Him and Harden will find a balance and dominate the NBA in due time.

A season of Kobe Bryant would make them wish they had James Harden "dominating" the ball.

Dude, leave the ignorance on the bandwagon.

First of, being a true fan is liking defining "faith" in all religions.

If you think otherwise, go for it and define the differences in one's interpretation of a a true fan.

Heeyyyyy forget the knee-jerk. There's some logic! first year with his first time starting 82 games with heavy minutes and already showing improvements. Nah, we should talk about trading him!

r****ded LOHs or sensationalists after a bad game:
Lin sucks lets trade him for a bag of peanuts.

r****ded LOFs after a good game:
Lin is being held back by McFail. Harden sucks.

Lin is a decent PG with upside. He will probably never be an elite player like Harden but that doesn't mean you look to trade him for garbage or mediocre players. His jump shot is still shaky but is has improved a lot and will only get better. He will be a nice complimentary player to Harden. Pretty good defender, good slasher, averagish jump shot that will get better. Unless you get something worthwhile for him you don't trade him its as simple as that. Most of the players mentioned are lateral moves at best.

I love how Lin always seems to pull the cape out just when all the trolls start to creep out of the woodwork. Same thing used to happen to Yao in his first couple years till he became a beast. Hopefully all u so called rox fans will stop putting down your starting pg when he has a bad game and show some support for a change.

Tell me how you draw the conclusion that he can not go left and how his defense is not above average. Your statement does apply to last year's Lin.

Last year Lin was not a bad defender by any means. He couldn't go left though that much was evident.
