It is NOT because TD is better..it is about how to use Lin as playmaker...

    This is a hilarious thread.

After the Atlanta Hawks game, Lin and Harden couldn't stop talking about how wonderful it was to play with each other. Harden said that Lin found him when he was open every time, and Lin was happy just by the fact that Harden was on their team.

Just last week, everybody was buzzing about how Lin-Harden was the hottest young backcourt in the league.

    Now, it's Douglas-Harden?

    LOL

I actually agree with this thread, as insulting to Lin as it might seem.

Because right now how they're asking Lin to play in the starting lineup is ridiculous, with him just being a shot-up shooter. We can just play Douglas or some random scrub if we just wanted a shot-up shooter. Don't need Lin.

as a lin fan - i hate to say this - unless the coaches come out a better way to the play these 2 off each other, other than hero ball. This option might make better sense, for the team and for Harden and Lin. Other than that , maybe flip it the other way round.
Lin starts and Harden comes in .

Don't hate on TD, 6 for 19 is north of 30%, are you trying to bash TD?

Im a Lin Fan but I dont think that's a bad idea.

During the height of linsanity in NY, Lin played the best when he was in jeopardy of being cut.

Some players need praise to play better, other guys need a "kick in the butt"

Just to add also - from the interview of assistant coach S . He noted that Harden and the team hardly had any practice, so they are still work in progress to get ball movement.
I guess we fans got to a patient and just endure their growing pains

This thread is fun!... 6 pages already!
Though I would have thought of Defino rather than Douglas replacing Lin...
Never really know what the coaching staff are actually thinking..
Let Douglas be the shooting guard for Lin... Who knows maybe Lin can make Douglas better... Lin, Douglas, Aldrich, Morris and whoever left...

Yes.. I'm not really serious, just fun-idle thinking..

Of course, Harden may get more attention without Lin, but he's the man.. should be able to cope, or they can overlap a bit.. You never know.. after all we do need some depth in the bench...

Every time Douglas tries to initiate offense i want to punch a wall. It'll be a cold day in hell when he starts.

Why would he be initiating the ball when Harden is also on the floor? Harden would start all the plays, and he would dish it to Douglas when he sees fit.

Why would Harden get more attention without Lin? There are no PnR or ISO plays for Lin when he does play with Harden.

Lin does things like help-defense and steals which Douglas can't do. Douglas is good at being in a PG's face all the time. He can't guard anyone bigger than a PG though.
