I disagree. I think we can make the playoffs if we fix the offense. This defense is playoff caliber. Switching Douglas and Lin is one way to fix the offense.
Yes! We saw it last night. Lin is a horrible spot-up shooter. He's much better running the offense. Douglas, OTOH, is horrible at running the offense, but is a much better spot-up shooter. This makes so much sense for me!
Your reasons for starting Douglas ahead of Lin sound better if you replace Douglas with Carlos Delfino. Then you could have Lin and Douglas come in off the bench and go with a smaller speedy lineup. That said, this is a r****ded idea.
Douglas does not really do spot-up shooting on the 2nd team because there is no one to set him up. Douglas usually shoots with a hand in his face. This all changes with Harden setting it up for him.
The defense is not playoff calibre, what are you basing that off of? We've played offensively challenged teams that inflate our defensive stats, Atlanta, Portland, Detroit twice......We've only played two good offensive teams in Miami and Denver and we got blown off the floor, couldn't protect the basket. Denver had like a gajillion layups on us bro man.
Douglas shoots with hands in his face half the time because he makes poor decisions on when he should shoot and when he should pass.
Delfino can't play defense on a PG. Imagine if Delfino was guarding Ty Lawson or Chris Paul. That would not work at all.
