I know how you feel bro. Had a really bad ankle for a while that never wanted to heal correctly and completely. One thing that you need to look into now is losing weight so your knees won't have to take so much stress. After so you have to fight through the pain and train. Sooner or later you will feel great again and dominate like I am currently doing.
I had that scare about 6 months ago. When my health was at an all time low, i couldn't run without feeling it in my ankles. I thought I'd never play bball again. This is when I started taking initiative on my health and have been able to play ball thank God. I hope that your knee gets better and you can play again someday soon! My thoughts and prayers out to you
If you are not going to get the proper medical treatment you will just need to change your game. 1. Learn back to the basket style (Gary Payton, Billups, Mashburn.. etc) 2. Become a spot up shooter, play smarter defense, and box out (Battier, Tony Allen, Bruce Bowen) 3. Learn to use floaters and bank shots (Duncan, Jamison.. etc)
Unless the question is "how can I avoid all future pain?" in which case suicide is indeed the answer.
