Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait a minute there. That he is not. Rudy T was the best ever in Houston, Gundy would have been much better if he wouldn't have meddled with personnel decisions such as bringing Oakley back.
O god, I hope this Tmac/Phoenix trade goes through, so he can for once play with a decent PG for once and a big man who's not soft.
Yes Trevor's defense is highly overrated. His on ball defense isn't great. He gambles and get's lucky at times. For every highlight breakaway dunk, he get's burned jumping in the passing lane twice. As a great coach and aspiring coach of the year, RA is paid to figure out a way to integrate McGrady and improve the win total. Would he be able to integrate LBJ? Kobe? Nash who needs the ball in his hands? This leads me to believe it is personal, and has nothing to do with chemistry. Finally, with all that said... TMac is a former scoring champ and possible All-Star. RA is CURRENTLY a HoF caliber coach in the NBA. I'd take my chances with him.
I think both parties have gone about in a wrong manner... Rick Adelman needed to have seen that 75-85% TMAC is better than ARIZA not because of Ariza's abilities to build multiple houses each night, but rather, Mac's a much better ball handler, a much better passer and was STILL demanding double teams in his 6 games this year. We'll lose quickness, speed, and a little bit of defense (it seems like Ariza moves just as slow as Mac laterally on defense). When Mac did play, he REALLY seemed like he was giving it all he had did well moving without the ball. Mac should have just kept his mouth shut and played the mins he was given and do the best he could to try to prove himself in that time and during practices.
he did a verry poor job with von and ron artest and hes doing an even worse job with trevor chase and battier he doesnt know how to coach his rotations
You are delusional. SF3 was beyond washed up, NY and Portland literally paid millions for him to leave their squads. There was a reality to be faced there but as everyone knows 'fan' is short for fanatic and nguyen3706 you are a perfect example of this. TMac's did everything under the sun in the last two years to antagonize the team and fans. One thing he didn't do was play well. When you strip away the fanaticism it comes down to do they help or hurt the team. Adelman is excellent at looking at the current and future level of talent.
You are a moron. Rick Adelman is not the cause for Yao Ming's injuries. Yao Ming and China is the cause for his injuries, because he plays year-round for his summer Chinese team and for the Rockets. Tracy was ALWAYS injury prone and Rick did the right thing is sit him and not disturb the line-up. You and all you other Yao and Tracy only fans please jump the hell out of the Rockets bandwagon and go elsewhere.
I can not say that the Rockets will win any more regular season games with or without T-mac. I can say it will not matter when we get the playoffs, cause T-mac has not won poop! The superstar has blown more seires leads that i care to remember. If you want to blame the coach because T-mac and Steve Francis are not ture "team players" then go ahead. But remember Van Gundy could not get either one of those "great players" to win crap as well! And the reason why Francis is in retirement is his own damn fault. When you put on the Rockets #3 jersey, you might as well expect to be traded! Adleman should be coach of the year for what he has done with this team so far!
Why should anyone risk playing T-Mac any more minutes? Adelman has experience with players and Microfracture surgery. Remember Chris Webber? He came back to soon, and caused all sorts of problems, similar to what McGrady did to the Rockets last year. He wasn't ready to play, and McGrady probably isn't ready to play full minute regardless of what he thinks he is ready to do. McGrady just wants to get his $$$ because this is a contract year, and because of that he isn't being patient. He is not in the same shape he was at the beginning of last year and it shows. He needs to be brought back into the system slowly, allow his body to readjust to the game, and go from there, otherwise he will probably just injure himself again due to fatigue.
