I don't recall Adelman ever quitting on his team. McGrady has done it twice now. Honestly if you can watch Clutch's video on the day Tmac lost the city of Houston and say he didn't quit on this team then I have no idea what to say. Personally I don't want a quitter like him on the Rockets. We have a group of guys that bust their asses to win on this team. He doesn't belong here.
I got so tired of hearing that stupid comment, McGrady never quit on the team thats a du## #ss thing to say. He tried to play injured to help his team and couldn't do it, so he had surgery. The guy can't win for losing, he tried to be tuff and play injured and everybody cried. He then stopped playing to take care of the injury and everybody still cried. The only thing T Mac is guilty of is being injured. RA is doing a good job but he lets his feelings get in the way of what the team needs, I hope his has the balls to coach better than this in the future.
Unfortunately, our Rockets will win as many championships with this coach as we've won with the last coach unless we get some additional talent beyond a fully healthy Yao, IMO. So getting to the second round and losing in seven is better than not making it out of the first round, whoopie!! It's still a failure if you started the season fighting for a championship to me. This team as currently constructed will accomplish the same as it did in the last 5 plus years, no celebration on Richmond Ave and no championship parade on Main Street . If production is the basis for assessment, the we've been in failure mode since championship #2. Doesn't sound to Clutch City-like to me.
False. He quit... He quit in Orlando, and he quit on the Rockets. Injured or not, A one legged cripple could play harder than Tracy did last year... A man with no legs could play with far more heart... It will always be a stain on the Rocket's organization. Tracy is also guilty of throwing his teammates under the bus last season, as well as the organization that has supported him through all his ****... Steven A ring a bell?
Yup, as currently constructed, we are not projected to be championship contenders. That's why the first step in our rebuilding process is getting rid of McGrady.
LOL at the op. Non big man friendly offense?? So Scola and Landry are even greater offensive weapons than they seem in this system? Adelman has to go because Tmac and Yao got injuried and he had to found a way to play that TMac cannont/doesnt wanto play?? Please. TMac fans are the most loyas fans in the NBA.
And they couldn't be black because...black people don't have access to the internet? I needed the laugh. Thanks for showing your stupidity online.
So we're rebuilding now, huh? Sounds like fun. While we're rebuilding, let's get us a big SG that has/can dominate/change a game with their scoring, passing, court vision, ball handling and/or their ability to command and beat double teams. Do you know of any? McGrady will be fine, I'm not worried about him. But when they play each other next season it's gonna be a good game. The Rockets will be out to prove themselves and so will T-Mac. That's what makes the NBA fun to watch, statement games!! The team and T-Mac have made their beds, so we'll see who ultimately has the better mattress.
Adelman is a leading candidate for coach of the year and you think he should be cut loose because he doesn't deal well with some players? Well, sorry if he has hurt some players' feelings, but this is the NBA and winning is far more important to me than whether a coach treats all of his players fairly or rubs some the wrong way. Adelman simply gets the job done, and frankly, I haven't heard many players express discontent with him anyway. They seem to buy into his system, which is one reason the team has been so successful this year. We're very lucky to have Adelman in Houston. Let's not take him for granted.
So how much is Tmac paying you nguyen3706? Oh wait Tmac doesnt know who the hell you are and doesnt care, why do you waste your time defending him, and dissing the Rockets...
I don't always like responding to garbage, but you obviously don't get it. The Francis comment alone burns me. How about Steve retired because he just didn't have it anymore. Mac is so far removed from being a scoring champion that it's just ridiculous to use it as your argument. To be honest, if some of you listened to what Chris Webber said, they just might be doing Mac a solid by not playing him. Coming back early cut short Webber's career. You feel great but really are not ready. Yao's injuries were do to being overworked playing ball year round on a bad arch. Adelman is a great coach and it shows pretty much every game
Wow this thread is ridiculous. Adelman deserves Coach of the year considering what he's done with this team. He has turned our group of role players into a playoff team. No all stars and still puts us in the playoffs in a very tough western conference. TMac and Francis are jokes. They just wanted the ball in their hands and take all the glory and none of the blame. I'm glad that we finally have a GM who takes no nonsense from these huge egos and puts teamwork back into basketball.
