You may have forgotten this LEBRON dude. Depends on the Rockets record as always the case with the MVP.
Westbrook gets so much love and awe from the general public/media that I don't see a scenario where he doesn't win it. It is going to be a similar situation to Harden getting shafted when Curry won it
What he does on the court is just so natural now...He's like a teacher messing around with students most of the time...its amazing,
http://www.espn.com/nba/hollinger/statistics/_/sort/VORP Harden is far above the rest of the pack in value added and also leads the league in estimated wins added. CP3 is above him a little in PER. Unfortunately, if the Clippers become the new Warriors of the last 2 years (seems plausible because great starting 5 and deep bench), the media will probably give it to CP3.
I don't know. How many James-Harden-doesn't-get-enough-love nuthugger threads do you think there are going to be between now and June? Let's see, the season is approximately 36 weeks long, and we've played just over two weeks. At a conservatively estimated one crybaby nuthugger thread each week, that's 34 more "media conspiracy" comments that you might expect me to make over the course of the season. This is of course merely an estimate: your mileage may vary. It is also quite possible for the trend to continue afterwards in the off-season. Let us imagine a scenario where James does not make the first team all-NBA honors. We might expect 2-3 additional crybaby threads in that case. That's 3 more "media conspiracy" comments. And if he doesn't make SECOND team, I expect that number may rise to 3-5 more of these kinds of threads. I can't imagine him not making at least THIRD team, so I won't go there. We might also build into our disaster planning a "what-if-James-gets-screwed-out-of-the-NBA-Most-Valuable-Player-Award" set of threads. If this happens, it might be another half dozen or so threads--each deserving of its own "media conspiracy" comment. So it's really hard to say. I'm looking at anywhere from 34-ish to well over 50 possible "media conspiracy" comments over the course of the next 8-9 months. Things tend to slow down over the late summer, so it's difficult to predict what if any threads might arise that would justify another response of "media conspiracy." And then we would be heading into the 2017-2018 season, and the entire cycle would in all likelihood repeat itself. Now, I suppose it's always POSSIBLE that the "Harden isn't getting enough love from the media" threads may stop. In which case I'd have nothing to respond to. But somehow I suspect that ain't gonna happen.
