Once again, not saying its right... but deal with the problem - not the symptom...

Don't know what to tell you other than I completely disagree with your opinion.

What is impairing Ariza from getting back on defense is motivation. I don't know how that's nothing to you.

It's not about fairness. It's just about motivation. Harden is a star player at his current level of player, but he's not a franchise player. It's not elite the way he's playing at the moment.

There is an option, it's called Harden plays defense. If we have no choice but to accept him not TRYING, then we should rebuild now. Let's not waste time. Maybe you just don't see Harden doing it.

You act like there is no other option. There is. You get Harden to play defense, teammates buy in, we win. THAT is the simplest and most logical and most likely scenario. To ship players off because Harden refuses to put in effort equivalent to a season ago? You'd be growing a cancer. It's just not how successful organizations operate, patching **** up as it comes up.

Are you watching right now? Look at this team since Harden came into the game, lol, like clockwork. Harden is a much better player than this, and even if we ship everyone off, whoever replaces them will end up losing motivation too. That's just how it is with people.

Completely untrue, I love James Harden, he's my favorite SG in the NBA. That's why I call him last season's MVP. I am fully aware of what he's capable of, and furious that he's pissing away his talent as well as the team's potential. He's nowhere near an MVP candidate this season. That's a big fall.

Obviously he doesn't turn the ball over on every play and take 100% of defensive plays off but he is certainly near the bottom of the league this season with defensive effort and among the league leaders in turnovers. That's the reality of this season's Harden. He put in far more defensive effort last season, and I say that as a person who has already accepted that effort is all we can ask from him.

He's just not an elite player right now and we need him to change it and I want him to lead this team back to contender status.

He is an elite player. Basically the same player he was for his first two years in Houston. Is he super 2014-2015 completely unreal...no...still an elite player however.

I mean, if you think he is basically Marcus Thornton now, thats fine, but no one is going to take you seriously. Its just silly.

This is why some of us want to just not watch them at all. Because of 0 effort every night.
