We could win no games the rest of the year, and we'll still probably be ahead of New Jersey and Minnesota by the end. We're not getting Wall. Period.

uhhh.....where did I say john wall was gonna be like jordan??? did I say that was like a one-year-and-done plan???

ok, john wall is more than unlikely. but so would u want a top 12 pick or some random borderline 1st rounder "prospect"???

thanks, but jermaine taylors come in bunches a grasp and top 10 picks do not

don't rule out a top 3 pick at all. look at 2008...the clippers were the 6th or 7th worse team in the league and they got griffin. 2008 chicago was something like 11th or something. 2007 portland wasn't bottom 5 worse team in the league either.

either way. top 10 pick is gonna help us to do what we want to do more than a 25th pick a lot more. and that is: to win a title in 2010-2011.

we do not have championship aspirations this season.

would you rather be just the bobcats or the jazz? not bad enough to get a top pick but not good enough to do anything great in the playoffs.

Tell me u don't miss Yao right now. Many people have been complaining about his immobility on the defensive end but have always neglected the facts that he had altered thousands of shots in our beloved uniforms. Why there are so many uncontested layups u asked? why the lanes seemed so vulnerable u asked? The Chuckwagon is GREAT, but he just can't pack the lane like Yao does. He can't alter and block shots like Yao does. Gawd, if we can trade T-Mac expiring contract for AI/Dalembert or CB plus a big, we are so going to get the 7th win against the fakers in the playoff. MARK MY WORD!!!! GET ER DONE MOREYYYYYY! :D

We don't have to worry about resigning some of the pieces anymore because i read somewhere in the forum that Yao is going to take a paycut so that we will have enough money to retain some of the players on our current roster!!!! GO ROCKETS!!! 2011 NBA CHAMPION HOUSTONNNNN ROCKETSSSSSSSSS BABYYYYY

you said we can beat lakers if we get John wall...

honestly i couldnt care less about a non guranteed 7th or 8th pick. at this point in the season, theres no goign back, we are already winning too many games and worked too hard to tank and get top picks.

unless you wanna have the longest losing streak in NBA history and have a chance to get a top 3 pick and drove half of your fan base away, i think we should just keep on fighting and developing young support players like landry and budinger and get the most out of brooks before Yao comes back

Are you f'n serious?! You want the Rockets to barely miss the P.O. and get the 15th pick in the Draft? Considering how Morey usually finds diamonds in the rough, I'm pretty sure whoever the Rockets would select at 15, would probably still be available at 25 or even 35.

WTF do you even watch the games for? Man, I'll never ever understand this loser mentality. You play the games to win and end up getting whatever you really earn. Tanking has got to be the lowest form of bball play in existence.

Sure, everyone would love to have John Wall but I would rather watch this team overachieve and take great joy in doing so than tank. It's like selling your soul to tank, you might get something good out of it but you lose far more than what you gain. Heart.

Yao should take a paycut either way.

You don't pay a guy 16Million+ a year if he can't stay healthy.

Screw losing, the team should be thinking playoffs and with Morey making a deal soon it will let the team get there this season.

I don't give a good cot damn about John Wall. He's not in the NBA yet.

Why wait for something that you don't know if you're gonna get? You go out and compete with the guys you have. Competing is not supposed to yield intentional losing for future-winning purposes.

It's almost disrespectful towards the guys on the team. They aren't waiting for anyone to start winning. They're winning now and taking responsibility.

I agree with you. Tanking is too risky and you show you've lost faith in your players. good post!

I agree with you again sir. This team could never tank and it makes the franchise look bad. good post, and I like the roll eyes!

    WTF!!!
DUDE, you have to be the worst poster and the worst Rockets fan ever.
You have given up on this team at the half way point, and you are also a flip flopper. Just a few days ago you said this team could never tank, and that it would make the franchise look bad. You said this team has too much heart and gives too much effort to ever tank. You gave someone the rolleyes for suggesting that we tank. So what is it dude, do you want us to lose or not?

I guess if we win against Atlanta on Monday, you'll jump right back on the bandwagon. Well I don't want you on the Rocket's bandwagon.

Why don't you just go root for the Lakers.

I never said we shouldn't tank. I'm for whatever is best for the organization. And currently making the 8th seed and getting eliminated would not help us in the future in my opinion.

But to think that this organization would tank is foolish.
We've seen how hard the players play on a nightly basis, especially with their backs against the walls.

There is just no way this team lays down the guns even if it would be for the best in the long term.
