I really want us to draft Jan Vesely, Donatus Motiejunas, or Hassan Whiteside?

Whiteside would be nice. My sleeper pick is Devin Ebanks who should go in the 2nd round.

I don't mind who we get honestly. There are SO many good players in this draft that could be available when our pick comes. Udoh, Motiejunas, Vesely, Aldrich, Henry, Whiteside, Hayward, GEORGE! And many many players after that. I wouldn't mind if we traded with OKC, Minnesota, or Memphis for their 2 first rounders so we can pick up 2.

Who would be our 2 guard? Brooks is to small, Budinger isn't ready and really is a SF and Wall as a 2...no se???

Brooks is a goner if the sky opens up and we get a gift from above...

We can't just keep acquiring assets to develop, at some point we have to cash them in for something that helps us now.

We can't perpetually have 2/3 rookies in our rotation. What other elite teams do that?

Morey has said if you don't have a superstar you build up assets until you can trade for one. That's what he will do this summer.

I don't expect our draft pick to be part of the team unless it's as a backup to Yao, a guy who can contribute immediately as a rebounder/defender.

Pretty sure we trade a 1 if a 1 is drafted.

I can't see us keeping Brooks if Wall is drafted.

We might be able to trade Brooks for a high draft pick + players if we somehow win the lottery.

Agree with you. What about Alabi?
I think Morey could try to move up for Aldrich.

I agree with you in a way, but I feel it's important to have young talent on a roster to learn from the veterans. Especially on our team with the great group of guys we have.

Damn right, that's what I've been telling my friends exactly. It's called the lottery for a reason. It's a complete franchise changer if we get Wall. Although, I think I'd rather have Turner, we would draft Wall #1 and trade him to get Turner.

About Vesely, I've followed him this year and I think he has very intriguing potential. He's been developed at SF position, as it was Gasol in the past (something that has been decisive in his development as that superversatile player). Don't know if he could end up being a perennial SF (a Kirilenko type of player) or if he will be converted to a PF as he gains some weight (has the size & frame), but his attitude, competitiveness, defense, athleticism, coordination, and feel for the game are very interesting to see in a player of that height. Anyway, he's a player who will remain a year in Europe and this will make him fall some positions.

Motiejunas is certainly a talent, but will never be a good defender/rebounder... Not so sure he's what we need.

I prefer Vesely too. Yao needs athletes around him, and Vesely is the better athlete. Probably never going to get big enough to play much center in the NBA, but gotta love his fire, length and explosiveness at either the 3 or 4. Imagine 2 SFs with the versatility, athleticism and length of Jeffries and Vesely.
