Sounds like your employer is Republic National.

If so, run (don't walk) and don't ever look back.

    You'll thank yourself later.

Have you thought about buying a Tesla and then becoming an Uber driver? I heard it results in profit.

What do you want? A successful career, be your own boss, good work life balance (lol)? Your sales experience is translatable, if you would be interested in construction related sales I could steer you in some directions.

I'm in the same position. What kind of sales are you in and what are you planning on selling/doing next?

Im in rigging/industrial sales. Its not so bad, but I dont feel like our company will ever grow with the current status of our owner. Plus, I dont have any benefits and also we get no bonuses. The boss constantly blames our slowness on our sales team and is constantly changing what we need to be doing and then also getting upset when we use our vacation. Its super unhealthy and its taking a toll on me.

Send out your resume even if its garbage.

Job openings are not static over time, and the ones don't you apply to are just the same as the ones you get rejected.

Rejection is a good stimulant to roll up those sleeves. It will toughen you up in the months to come and make you less anxious over taking your entitled vacations.

I have an acquaintance that was a catering sales manager for a well-known caterer, hated it, then got a gig selling corporate phone plans with one of the big 3 wireless companies and last I spoke to him he was enjoying it and wasn't overworked. He had little to no prior knowledge going in. So, point is that sales translates across a lot of industries.

Give dandorotik of the BBS a call to get your resume together. He does great work and offers a CF discount.

You need to change jobs to one that has benefits and bonuses. You have to think about your future and family. working at a dead end job will get to you sooner or later. Get your mind in gear you owe it to yourself . You can try something new. When I was young in the 60s I stayed at the same job for 13 years before I made a change It was hard to leave a steady paycheck but I wish I had done it sooner It worked alright despite my doubts. Try to get 3 months of bills saved up if you are going to have to hunt. I quit and opened up restaurant which end up growing very good. I Was able to retire at 45 years old if I stayed at my other job I would have had to stay til 62 or 65 years old So grit your teeth and do it.
Just make sure the light at the end of the is not the headlamp of a freight train coming at you.:)
