Great job indeed! What did the girl and her drunk friends say to you afterwards other than begging you for not calling police? They should feel ashamed for not being able to protect one of their own people.
Let me add my props to you on taking the initiative and doing a good thing. As for your friends I'm not going to be as hard on them as some of the other posters. One of the hardest things to do is to react quickly in a situation like that. One that is beyond our normal everyday experience. I'm guessing it might not have been cowardice on their part but more surprise. At the sametime though if he had a weapon though things might not have ended up as well for you and your friends so not trying to restrain him might've been a good thing. As for the women there could be a lot of reasons for her not wanting it reported. One reason might be that she knows the person and it adds to her fear and shame that this is someone she might have to deal with. Anyway you should probably let the police know so there is a record that someone fitting this description had tried to rape someone.
I was waiting for SCK's thread to pop up. "Some Dood ruined date #3" good job tho. the most i did was stop some old man from forcing a girl he drugged home with him. and it really wasnt me. i just told a table full of swol latino girls what happened and they took care of buisness.
Good job Smoothie! It's good to see that people out there will still help those who need it. As for the girl not reporting it, perhaps she had been leading him on, walked away from her friends and when things got too heated she backed out and instead of being a gentleman and going home with blue balls, he decided to take care of it himself. If that's the situation it would make a woman feel like it was her fault. Sucks she didn't want to report him.
Great job Smoothie. I wish that you could have beaten his ass while you were at it. Your friends should have clotheslined the guy. One of my kids was molested recently and it's everything I can do not to strangle the mf'ing pervert every time that I have seen him at a court appearance. The judicial system is a joke. The victims have very little rights. It's been several months since this happened and I haven't been allowed to see any witness statements or evidence. What happens after the police get called and the judicial process starts is no friggin picnic either. You've got my respect sir.
update: you guys inspired me to take the next step. i called the precinct to report what happened. i couldn't give them much info since i never really got a good look at the guy. i gave them approximate hight, weight, ethnicity, and age range. they said there is not much that can be done at this point, but guys like that usually like using the same spot for their crime if they have had success there before. since nothing was reported from there before they're guessing that was his first try in that location, and since it didn't go well for him he probably won't be back there... but to their credit they said they will tell the patrol car assigned to that area to check out that alley in the future. even though they won't catch this guy for this crime, they are at least patrolling the area and keeping an eye on the alley. there are a bunch of bars, clubs, and lounges in the area... and a lot of drunk women... so maybe that will help prevent another guy from using that alley for something like that in the future.
