yeah i wanted to do something official, but she was really against all of those ideas and wanted to leave asap. so that was pretty much the end of that. i've been giving it to my friends all week for dropping the ball and letting that guy past them. the sad thing is, most people would've reacted the way they did. out of a crowded nyc sidewalk i was the only one that felt like checking out what that scream was. i couldn't have been the only one that heard it. i think the norm is to do nothing and let someone else worry about it. that's why i feel really good that i did something.
From your pictures you posted a while ago, you don't seem like that big of a guy. Kudos that you were fearless. Your friends must be small.

you know, that actually crossed my mind when i was typing out the story. that and i was worried that people would see this as a self gratifying thread when really i wanted people to see that an average guy can do something very cool. maybe it will inspire others to not be bystanders or expect someone else to do something. i didn't think i had it in me until i did it. maybe someone that reads this will discover they have it in them too. that would be awesome.

Smoothie is a true Clutch Fans hero. I feel so much better making this my last thread of the night after reading the Fathers take care of your daughters thread. Don't worry about not getting the guy, hopefully he'll never try something like that again, and you stopped something horrible from happening, more than most of us on here can say.
I read reports on rape. For all the bashing of women that guys tend to do, its really really sad when you see the prevalence of it. NO woman deserves it, no matter how "loose" she might appear. You did a really good thing. You deserve to do a little self-aggrandizing with this. I wouldnt blame your friends THAT much since the key part was the guy was fleeing the scene bringing the event to a close. He deserved a thorough beat down but the prevention was pretty much done.
