Menke Batter was literally human fouling machine. The guy usually amounted multiple fouls in a minute. That is nothing to be proud of.

BTW, Shaq looks, in that picture, exactly like caught in a bad free way accident, everybody stands by watching and nobody helps.

Shaq appeared to be in pain. When someone covers his face with his hand, I wouldn't want to give a hand to him since I know he doesn't want one.

That's not wise at all, it only will make our enemy's coach happy, let alone it won't work. Yao's value to Rockets is incomparable to that of those scrubs to our opponents, he is prone to fall into foul troubles, and also must suffer some BS calls from the refs in a very long time, every foul call to him is so nervous to Rockets fans now. He is making and will make hundres of millions of dollars, such kind of thing isn't a big deal to him, unless you can guarantee his retaliation won't hurt the benefits of the team.

Here's what happens to a big man who lacks evil.

Notice the clapping after getting dunked on. He deserves to have a giant size Milwaukee's Best Light fall on top of him.

Yao is bigger than everybody else on the court and is going to get mugged by defenses his entire career.

As much as I hate Shaqs game (his signature move for his career is an offensive foul to the chest of the opposing player) he has it right. If Shaq is going to get mugged by the defensive player every play, he's going to mug them on the offensive side of the ball.

Yao needs to tell himself that he's going to give up a foul a game by putting his shoulder into the defender, knocking him out of position, then dunking. He'll get called for an offensive foul the first few games...then every other game...then by the end of the year, its going to be a blocking foul on the defender and a free dunk.

Yao is a star player. Star players get calls by the style of game they play. It takes time to train the officials. Yao doesn't have to give up the finese part of the game that makes him so spectacular...the fact that he can move well for a big man, can hit open shots, and is developing a devastating jump hook...he should stick with that. But one play a game...he needs to bull someone over and dunk on them...especially if there is a defensive switch and someone smaller than the opposing center is guarding him.

As far as getting mugged by defenders...as he develops into a true NBA superstar (which will need an entire year or two of dominating play) the calls will start shifting. Stern protects his stars, and he loves Yao and the Asian market he brings. He'll fix the problem as Yao grows more and more dominant and is on more and more national TV and gets deeper and deeper into the playoffs.
