Champions Forest is pretty close to Willowbrook, but its one of the most respected subdivisions in Houston.

The Willowbrook aread is great...aside from traffic. Great mall, great stores around, great new movie theater, great resteraunts in the area...bad traffic.

But the traffic would not be bad if people didn't like going there. That's like saying, "nobody goes to that place any more, its too crowded."

You just have to learn the trick of using 249 (a major highway now, hits beltway 8 about 2 miles from the mall, and that opens you up to any major highway in the city). Plus using 249 to get to the mall and surrounding areas and avoiding 1960 all together makes getting around the area much easier.

I lived right over off of 1960 and Champions Forest for 6 years. I would aways take Gessner to get to the Beltway instead of 249.

I agree that its a desirable area to live in. But coming from someone that drives 35K miles a year for a living, you can understand why I wanted to move away from all the action and traffic. :)

Nope. I've given up on Austin. It's time to try something new.

The Galleria area is a nice central place to live. Do what you can to live close to work. Don't fall into the trap of having to spend 1-2 hours of your life each day in your car.

Thanks! If you ever come down to Houston, we'll have to catch Rockets games sometimes. That's the only positive. No more Spurs on FSSW. I get to watch every Rockets game again. Haven't done that in 7 years.

I guess I consider myself to live in Cypress. I went to a Cy-Fair school. It's the fifth largest district in the state behind, HISD, DISD, SAISD, and AISD. I bet it might be bigger than HISD in five to ten years because the Cy-Fair territory is still 40% undeveloped.

Holy ****. Willowbrook mall area. Good freaking lord. 249, and 1960 is the worse damn place to be. The only time I go to that mall is during the daytime during the weekend when theres a bunch of MILFs with strollers or little kids, and old ladies walking around the mall. It's pretty bad during the lunch hours on the weekdays also. I just take Gessner to the mall from Beltway 8. It gets me there in four minutes. Or i take that one road, I forgot the name of it. It leads to Wal-Mart, and the Billiard Factory, and a Cambodian Pentecoastal church.

anyhoo, that is make take on it.

I graduated from Cy-Fair High School in the early 90s and I currently live in "undeveloped" Cypress at Barker Cypress and 290. Not much out here besides a Texaco and a Randalls. Nice and peaceful.

    Cutten Road?

I might as well say I graduated from Jersey Village in the early 00's. Waaaay back then.

There is a new high school near Traders Village.

You'll enjoy Houston if you want to. It's a good place. Bit warm in the summer, but so what, basketball parades are better at the end of June!

People are cool to other people here. (Except to certain coaches and PGs and SGs and PFs and SFs after losses.)
