I think you are completely misreading what Phil was saying here. He was describing the beauty of Hakeem's move by saying that it was so good that it was almost cheating. If he meant to insult Hakeem his next wouldn't have been about how quick it was but instead some classic Phil line about how it wouldn't have been nearly as effective if refs called it the right way.

The Bulls used to give players tapes before games. Footage of their upcoming matchup. When the Rockets game into town they'd give Wennington 3 tapes worth of footage. Eventually they stopped and just handed their posts notes that said "you're ****ed".

You know, making moves that could be called fouls/travelling but are too quick to spot is actually one of the key things that often separates superstars from the rest.

A perfect example is Dwyane Wade's steal in the playoffs last year on Ray Allen, it was a foul, he grabbed his arm and yanked it (watch it in slomo and watch Wade's arm), but it's so quick no ref can see it.

If this is true, it's one of the best things I've ever heard!

Everyone's just jealous of success. We all know if Phil Jackson was available and he had any intentions to come to Houston that we'd welcome him with open arms.

I think everybody knows that there's always that one guy in any aspect of life, school, work, etc, who can't give credit to others where credit is due. The guy must always downgrade others' achievements with petty remarks while trying to maintain an air of superiority. Phil Jackson's a good coach, but come on we can jive him all day seeing as all the championships he won had players named Jordan or Bryant/O'Neal

That phrase is something all opposing teams/their fans used to say whenever they would lose to us. Particularly I remember the Jazz and Spurs fans back in the glory days. So I take it as a badge of honor, that Phil Jackson still remembers what it feels like to lose to the Rockets.

haha i dont think it is, there was a case (which he said himself), where phil jackson said to him "I'm sorry, i know you're not prepared for this" although wennington played pretty damn well for that half.

And he was saying this because the reporters kept asking insinuating that their loss was the Lakers doing and not because the Rockets played well. Phil stood up for the Rockets on this one.

And everything gets taken out of context with text. Phil jokes around a lot.

Phil Jackson obviously thinks the Celtics titles of the 80s are tainted as well with that comment.

Fake because I recognize you're in love with Hakeem?

Or Fake because you have a man crush on Mcgrady and won't admit it?

    I just found this...

"If I had to pick a center for an all-time best team, I would take Olajuwon. That leaves out Shaq, Patrick Ewing. It leaves out Wilt Chamberlain. It leaves out a lot of people. And the reason I would take Olajuwon is very simple: he is so versatile because of what he can give you from that position. It's not just his scoring, not just his rebounding or not just his blocked shots. People don't realize he was in the top seven in steals. He always made great decisions on the court."

you disrespect hakeem dude. all rockets fans love him. deal with it, he actually has accomplished something for the organization that no other has done before.

a Rocket fan showing respect for Hakeem should never be criticized, unless that person does not care about Rockets .

Phil Jackson talks smack all the time. I'm not bothered cause Phil Jackson was the coach when the Bulls got hammered by the Dream back in the day.

maybe if you stop obsessing about what the tinman thinks and learn about your team, you'd actually understand why we love the Dream and how some people feel they way the do. Maybe you'd understand why Tmac go booed at Toyota Center by the Rockets fans.

I don't think Phil Jackson has ever uttered a sincere compliment of another person in his life.

You having a crush on another man has nothing to do with the other man. It's simple. You want to have his babies, but he won't give you that. Bad for you.

funny kobe vids but just like pj on hakeem, theyre nitpicking. ppl start doing that when theyre frustrated that they cant stop you. most guards know that if ur quick enough to take a few steps before u dribble without the refs noticing that u milk it.
