My friend twisted his ankle yesterday playing ball, his foot landed sideways. He jerked and rolled around a bit, laid on the floor for about 5 minutes. Then he got up himself, and went to sit on the side. He was walking fine and playing again about half an hour later.

We only know something about Tracy. He said to Bullard he was ready to play but it was Adelman's decision to rest him. As I know no info for Yao, Ron.

If yours was worse than mine, you wouldn't have even been jogging in 2 weeks, much less playing basketball. Pictures can only portray so much.

I just hope we can be done with injuries come February.

I hate have a great run and then right before the playoffs, one (or usually more) of our key players goes down with an injury!

It seems like we are the only ones that experience that. Maybe its because the last few years we have been playing catch-up in the standings so hopefully this year will be different.

I couldn't even stand up the next morning. For 3 days straight I was literally crawling across the house. :( I just have a high tolerance for pain. :D

I am just trying to point out that the majority of the time, ankle sprains aren't as bad as they seem. So lets just wait and see...

dont be ridiculous u can always walk on a sprained ankle. Tom Brady walked off the field easier than Ron Artest and Brady was out for the year.

all I want to know is this:

Did Yao just do something that will end up ending his season or costing him 3 mo.? Whether realized now or later as these things are cumulative.

When is tmac getting better? Did he really get a set-back today or is he being tmac?

How bad is Ron? Ice it and forget it or does this nag him a few games until he has to sit out a few weeks?

I think he's ok, but not because he walked to the bench. I had a class 3 ankle sprain when I rolled my ankle out in the field when I was in the Army. I walked another half mile on it to the LZ carryin 100+ lbs. Although it hurt like a b**** I had no idea the damage was that bad - ended up being sidelined for about 2 months because of it.

brady laid on the field for an eternity. you could run 100 commercials before brady was ready to walk off the field.

but they may rest the next game to be cautious.

Lets not compare Artest and Brady walk off the field. Brady had a knee injury which is usually more serious than an ankle injury.

None of the injuries looked too bad so hopefully they are all gonna be fine.

TMac was just being TMac...taking half a night off when he needs it.

Yao probably twisted his ankel/leg somehow, but he looked fine afterwards on the bench. I expect him to be back next game.

Ron probably got hurt the worst. He really rolled his ankel and this could be a week or two. But Ron is tough. This is a guy who played ball a month after heart surgery. He'll be OK.

another thing is this organization really tries to make sure tracy is fine. he got injured and we really took precautionary measures not to let him back.

why can't we do that with yao? he's our franchise player too. yao looks gassed today and adelman never once tried to take him out or called a TO to rest him. this happened last yr. and he's still playing big minutes this year.

we gotta take precautions with yao too b/c with the way he's playing, he looks headed towards another stress fracture.

b/c the Spurs came back with 4min left on Friday. if we would have taken our big3 out and OKC came back and won, everyone would have called for RA's head. damned if you do..........

Ok tmac and ron may be fine, but WHAT ABOUT YAO AND HIS CUMULATIVE-TYPE INJURIES? Last year yao was having pain, but it was not tied to a specific incident. They review film and thought it might be a mild roll of the ankle when we played the mavs-but nobody new exactly. So lets say we stamp him as good and he continues to have pain in 2 games or 4 from now and then they do tests and show a hairline fracture   Thats what I'm worried about.
