I like Francis ok, but if this trade doesn't go through now he's gonna be bashed worse than any Francis fan can imagine. God knows I'll let a little frustration out on this board, myself.

You think people can hate him anymore? It looks like the majority are being childish if you ask me. I haven't figured out why either.

"It's tough for me to leave this club. What can I do? It's part of the job," Dotel said. "I feel happy because I did all I could do for Houston. I hope they appreciated what I did for them and I appreciated what they did for me. Thank you for everything."

When managment lies to a player its a business. When a player states what he feels, he's unproffesional. We live in a great world.

Francis and the Magic GM claim he was mislead by Houston management.

Houston was nothing without francis? We started a streak of consecutive years withouth making it to the playoffs since he got here, before that we had been to the playoffs every year.
I guess hakeem and our championships were nothing hugh?

One thing is so very clear, Steve can bring us McGrady by giving
Orlando a real positive impression to the trade.

Also, he could go to Orlando and do all he can to sabotage the trade.

Or possibly Steve cannot affect the trade? Which I doubt.

Steve knows the Rockets want to move him now.

So if he helps the Rockets get this done, it shows alot of class and give him the hugest props for it.

If he helps sink the deal. Well it doesn't make him a bad person, but as a fan it makes him the enemy. He has hurt each of us who will feel jilted because we almost had McGrady.

That's like almost getting Duncan or Garnett.

    Steve, help us out here!

Well, when Francis got here, Drexel/Pippen had been gone. Barkley/Hakeem were embarassingly bad when they both played the final year of their rockets career and we started rebuilding. You sounds like we stopped going to playoff because of Francis.

Francis had to be the No.1 guy carrying this team since day one and he poured his heart/soul in this team for the last five years with ROY, three 43+ win seasons, three all-star and finally playoff. Now, what he got is a trade to the worst team in NBA and have to go through the same thing again.

Rocketsman95 said much better than I would be able to so I quoted him here "how many times has a player been the main guy on a rebuilding team for four years, finally go to the playoffs, then nearly get traded to the worst team the year before. It's easy for us to b**** about Francis' reaction, but who knows what your reaction would be?

Steve has been great for houston. When we aquired him we nicknamed him franchise, the we got Yao which made steve play second fiddle, which he did. He improved his defense this year and has shown that he wants to get better and make his team a contender. You can't blame a guy who just tasted the playoffs for wanting to stay with the team and try get deeper into the playoffs. It's not the he doesn't want to go to Orlando, it's that he wants to stay in Houston. Even if we trade Steve I am glad that he was a rocket and I wish him the very best for the rest of his career, and the same for Rudy T. Steve haters should just shut up and leave him alone. The only thing I'm surprised about is that as much **** as some of the houston fans have talked about him I wondering why he would want to stay and be ridiculed and underappreciated. He might not be the best guard in the league but he does have heart, and thats something T-Mac has never shown. T-Mac is a finger pointing baby, Van Gundy wil not stand for his crap so he has got to change or he will hate it here. Don't get me wrong I like T-Mac but he has a lot of growing up to do his damn self.

Also, we almost made it in the playoffs 2 out of the 4 years.. so that really doesnt count.. everyone knows that we were good enough to be in the playoffs last year, being only a game out.. and then 2 years before that, when everyone in the west was just that damn good.. i mean come on.. we had a 45-37 record and didnt make the playoffs!!

An old Vancouver Grizzlies fan's perspective:

The quote above gets it right. When the whole Francis-pouts-his way-out-of-Vancouver subject was brought to this board, you folks jumped all over us.

I remember many of you telling us how he was so justified to reject, horror of horrors, Canada! He was right to reject the role we wanted him in as a great combo point/shooting guard tandem with Bibby. It was perfectly okay with you that he publicly slagged our town as some kind of Siberian wasteland. Some of you even defended him when he even talked about how God had talked to him personally about not playing in Vancouver. We realized he was a nutbar and tried to warn you

Sorry guys, but it is just as sweet as pixie sticks and honey to hear you arguing about him in this way. The guys who are clinging to the idea that Steve Francis is some great guy will find out soon enough when he moves off and starts slagging your town, coach and fans. Personally, I enjoyed watching Michael Dickerson's brief tenure here more than I ever would have with Francis.

No-one can deny Steve Francis' talent but hear the words of one of your famous orators, John Randolph:

He is a man of splendid abilities but is utterly corrupt. He shines and stinks like rotten mackerel by moonlight.
