I am sure DMO would at minimum annoy Griffin by putting his body in front and taking charges. Jones and Smith doesn't seem to even bother Griffin at all, he gets whatever he wants against those guys. And to start 3rd Jones is on DeAndre... Interesting to see how he does what DMO was forced to do for most of season - play out of position.
Hell I'd even try Dorsey on Griffin. At least Dorsey would get a few rebounds while irritating Griffin. Dmo'a offense would be huge though
DMo is sorely sorely missed indeed. Not sure what we'd be getting out of him, but surely something. The Rockets just need one PF to have an above average game and they have a good shot to win every game. But you never know with Smith/TJ
Not having DMO is a HUGE loss. He was not only another low post threat and rebounder but his ability to hit from the outside basically means Jordan has to guard him away from the basket. With Jones and Smith the Clippers can gamble more playing zone defense.
Were they full strength? Wut? Did you not see J-Smoove's what, 8/9-assist alley-a-thon with Dwight vs. the Mavs? Smith averages nearly 4 assists per 36 to Dmo's 2-ish. Josh also, unfortunately, takes a lot of high-risk/high-reward passing decisions that lead to TOs, but hey, high TOs is sort of our thing, right? No one questions Dmo's dominant post potential/current output, or his glorious footwork. I question him currently being a total difference maker in terms of this series, or the Mavs series. I do agree that Smith's defense has been mostly pretty terribad on Griffin, only a few bright spots/possessions. He gambles a lot on defense, then isn't scrambling at all to get back in the play or rotate properly. Is anyone actually saying Jones > Dmo? That one's silly to me.
Blake is effectively nullifying TJ down low with his strength. He has no defense whatsoever to D-Mo's array of moves. His offense would be HUGE in this series.
dmo's height as well as his touch from 8-10 feet would mean he'd be essentially unaffected by anything blake tries to do on defense, dj yes, blake no, but dj has to guard dwight, also he could basically just put his arms straight up and impact blake's shot. In the nba height matters.
Lets be real, with the way Blake has been playing lately, nobody can stop him, you can only hope to contain him. Part of containing him though is making him work on the other end of the court. DMo would've made him work. I think about it all the time.
We're getting killed because nobody steps up to cutoff attackers. DMo would shrink from the moment at times but at least he'd add that and space the floor with his improved 3pt shooting. He'd be huge this particular series.

D-Mo would have been huge this series due to the his weight and height for a PF. Griffin won't be able to push D-Mo around and even if D-Mo doesn't have the biggest wingspan or hops, he can still bother Griffin ala Yao D.
Yes. People been saying how CP3 is hurt. For crying out loud, we are missing two starters. If DMO were playing, it wouldn't have been close. Their thin front line would have been in foul trouble constantly.
Sadly, I've seen a few people that still think that. It's crazy, but some people you just can't help.
The timing of his injury is really asinine. No desrespect to Bev, but Pablo does some things to make up for Bev's absence.. It's still Dmo that would have been the major difference maker.. Paul can only do so much when he has to try to get the ball to Griffin or Jordan over both Howard and Dmo.. On offense, everybody here knows how good Dmo moves that ball..
We desperately miss him. His ability to hit threes and free throws and score in the post is so valuable in the playoffs.
