People should never mention Yao Ming's name on the MVP ballot again. We all know thru the past three games, who the real MVP of this team is.
I'm glad T-mac didn't play today. I would rather have T-mac rest than play when he's not fully healed and worsen the injury. Last three games was a good opportunity to see how the role players step up.
who wouldn't miss Tmac? glad to know he will be on court to play vs. Mavs,by no means, Rox should beat Mavs...if not,5 loss streak is TOOO terrible!
Just remove yourself from this forum please. We know through all your past posts that you are not a supporter of the Rockets.
I don't know the poster's history, but in all fairness his comment here has some validity. With yao out tracy typically steps up and takes his game to another level despite the increased defensive attention he receives. Yao attempts to do the same thing but is clearly unable to function with the increased defensive attention he receives. Partly his fault, partly the fault of his teammates, but regardlesss an unfortunate situation.
The role players play better because they are part of the offense more, but overall the team is weaker. Now if we can get Tmac to play off the ball more and involve the role players, then this team can really take off. DD
Why doesn't McGrady ever sit with his team on the bench? He NEVER has in all 4000 games he's missed with the Rockets.
I miss JVG, not McGrady. He would never have used the 5 games in 7 nights excuse. He would've gotten in the guys' faces and lit a fire under their a**es.
i dont know if i'll agree with u :S if tmac didnt have yao on the floor, i think tmac will be inefficient as well. both tmac and yao create so much spacing and attract so much defence that free up each other. so if they are not both on the court, they will have a hard time adjusting to getting hammered on defence (like the past 4 games with yao), dont ya think?
yao was out 20 games last season... and mcgrady averaged 28 pts on 46% shooting and lead the team to a 20-12 record against some elite teams in that span.
um b/c we never had to play 5 games in 7 nights and 4 games in 5 nights under JVG. u do know under JVG we did lose games to teams like the bobcats and hawks... teams that we shouldn't lose to right. and mind u we lost to the lakers (who have beaten some great teams), spurs, and suns. and mind you, we're playing those good teams when we're not only at full health or potential offensively. relax. people panic too much. when tmac is back, we're still not going to be at our potential b/c now the role players have to perform w/ him in the lineup and do it just as efficiently.
tmac won't win in the playoffs without yao that's for sure. but to say he won't be as good w/o yao, you're wrong. he avg 29, 7, 7 on 47% fg w/o yao last yr. and look at his magic days. he was the best player in the world.
