I like him as well. He knows his role and is playing it well even though the Magic suck (but that's no surprise). I just wonder how much he will be worth in the open market.

Mayo/Lin would be one of the worst backcourts in the NBA

I think he would have regressed to his normal self even if he was here.

True but guys like J.J. Redick and Ben Gordon are a MUCH cheaper option than Mayo. OJ is going to cash in this off-season.

Basically he is a smaller Delfino, better handle can bring up the ball, and double salary.

Rocket are far from contender this year, primary object:

    1. keep the cap low and flex, so we can bring another Max. player
    2. Develop the young,

Only after rocket accomplish object 1, then we may consider sign some decent vets to optimize our roster.

Could we move the thread to the nba dish? It's more about dragic than Lin. Also I agree with most of the posters that the one player I miss is Lowry. He was a great player, too bad he got injured quite often

This offense moves the ball around so it wouldn't matter and with Lin not being able to consistently knock down the outside jumper _ he doesn't run it effectively either.

Unless Morey can get his hands on a L.A. or Love _ the Rockets aren't going to get a max contract player. The guys out there that they can get aren't worth it...

I would have preferred dragic, but lin's been good enough last few months. I just think we need another superstar.

I don't want Lin as our starting PG but JJ isn't the answer.

And he's a better on ball defender than both Delfino and Lin so he helps on both sides of the ball.

This would be a deadly team if the Rockets had another player that could consistently average 17-20 points a game (and Parsons or Lin should be in this wide open offense but they're not). It's players out there that can give that kind of production in this offense without the max contract _ several of them.

It took Morey years to get a star player, he's not just going to give a max contract to just anyone.

Yeap. The Suns absolutely own the Thunder this year.

Not for a couple seasons but I think that's plenty of time to build around Harden and another star. After that we can resign him to a cheaper contract as a backup or let him walk.

Gogi was better off the ball, too. He would mesh well with Harden and make better decisions; but with that said, I don't doubt that Lin can develop better habits over time and become our bonafide PG for the future. He's got the right attitude and wants to learn how to be a PG on a team with a ball-dominant player besides himself.

Over what a 25 game sample? What makes his 25 game sample more special & more sustainable than Lins?

Give it up. We get it. You are here because of Lin. You can not be objective.

Rox are #1 in scoring. So you think Dragic who isn't nearly as good as getting others involved in the offense is going to make the Rox's offense even better? Laughable.

Parsons: You know where I like the ball right?
    Dargic: I don't care.

Yea because he's more valuable to Alexander just being on the team.

And Redick may not be the answer but he significantly upgrades the backcourt. A player like him and a upgrade off the bench in the frontcourt makes this team much better. I think Morey will go after lower price free agents and or try to hit in the draft this off season and wait till he can go after LA, Love, and LeBron (may be a free agent) the season after next.
