I would just like to say that I have believed in Dream and remained loyal to him all along. ------------------ The whole world we travel with our thoughts, Finding nowhere anyone as precious as one's own self. word, moe. it makes me sick to think about how many games the player's coach cost us in the standings by refusing to play the team's best rebounder, interior defender and interior scorer in the last six minutes of the game. i don't blame dream for being insulted. kenny? bullard? what a joke. ------------------
You know what makes me sick? People blaming Rudy because Dream didn't play with desire and begged to get out of here. The team hasn't changed, the system hasn't change, and Dream's playing time hasn't changed. The only thing that has changed is Dream's effort, and nobody can make Dream play harder, not Rudy, not CD, not anybody. Dream has decided to play harder and probably showcase himself. Good for him, glad to see flashes of the old Dream! ------------------ Dream a deadly Dream. . .
I think the reason for Hakeem's improved play as of late is obvious--he wanted to garner an apology from tod the bod. Once he gets it (notice tod said may owe Hakeem an apology), Hakeem's glorious career will finally be complete.
That has been my biggest problem with Rudy as well. Does anyone remember the game when the Rockets came to Seattle and won thanks to a big game from Hakeem. I do, I was there. I can tell you that the ONLY reason Hakeem played in the fourth quarter was that Kenny fouled out. Hakeem was having one of his best games, yet he only got to play because Kenny fouled out. Its no suprise that Hakeem had 3 or 4 crucial blocks and steals in that fourth quarter to get the Rockets that great victory. They would not have won if Kenny had stayed out of foul trouble. Finally Rudy has seen the light, and Hakeem has stepped up his play 200 percent to the level of 98-99. I honestly believe Hakeem thinks that the Rockets could win a title this year. If they had started this steak sooner, I might have agreed. Still, with the easy schedule up ahead, anything is possible. If the Rockets make the playoffs and plan on doing well, it will all be about Hakeem, and he knows it. ------------------ "Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning how to put food on their family while being put to death."
Come on now guys, anyone who has seen Hakeem play the last few years knows the fire wasn't there. I too wish he had been in there more in the fourth this season, but can you really blame Rudy all that much when it didn't look like Dream was all that interested anymore. And then started talking about leaving? I'm just glad Hakeem is past that, is just playing his heart out like he should have been. Let's just hope it lasts all the way through... ------------------ Proud Member of whatever Clutch City club is currently the most popular and/or controversial.
Rudy didn't start playing Hakeem in the 4th until he started talking about leaving. To paraphrase one of HeyPee's favorite expressions, I think we have some revisionist history going on with some posters. ------------------
