Agreed. We were all praising Steve while we were winning and even for a while while we were losing, both because of his improved shooting (at times) and because a lot of us were noticing how much his assist numbers had skyrocketed in those games. I think right now the only reason people are hating him so much is because he's not making his shots. You may not admit it, but that's all you're seeing. Yeah, it sux that he can't score cuz that's normally what he does best for us, but he was and is still improving his offensive game in so many other ways, so I really don't think it's fair to criticize him just for a cold streak. I do believe that the star players on a team, if given credit during a winning streak, needs to be given blame on a losing streak, but you also have to realize when a player is putting forth effort. This guy plays with more heart and passion than anyone on this team IMO. He wants to win more than any of them, and he has the ability to get us wins better than any of them. By decreasing his attempts per game and dishing the ball more (for the most part), he's showed us his willingness to change for the better of the team.
