Not that it was that creative, but I actually snuck it in above. I need to learn to use bold and big fonts.
I love it when: Yao dives to the floor fighting to get loose ball with the little guys Jon Barry flying in for a layup being hard foul and hit the deck and just get up and make two free throws Mutumbo swaps a shot out of there Wesley knock the opponent's ball loose, and went ahead on the fast break Howard hitting that low post jump hook Jeff Van Gundy just can't help but laugh when we're blowing the other team away TMac pumps and fake the defender in the air and then twist and draw the foul and pump in a 3 pointer at the same time Mike James just hitting those high arching rainbow 3 pointers, it's artistic Andre Barret fast breaking like wind running up the court, then finding Yao Ming in traffic for a jam Ryan Bowen just sticks himself to a guy and absolutely harrasse the other team's hot hand Scott Padget knocking down the jumper Bobby Sura hit the deck and get up and just keep on playing as though he's made of steel. When the game on the line, Yao & TMac steps up big time and deliver us home.
...McGrady glides in for the finger roll ...Yao slams home a missed shot ...Wesley sinks a three ...Yao stuffs anyone going to the hoop ...Juwan sinks that line drive from the elbow ...McGrady draws a foul from the 3 point line ...the 24 second clock goes off after tough team D
Karl Malone retires without a ring. Oh wait a minute trying to lay off the hate. the scoreboard at the end of the game shows the Rox with a higher score than who there playing.
-T-Mac crushes the Spurs in 13 seconds -Jon Barry goes flying into the seats and jumps right back up -Mike James crosses over another victim -Sura faints -Yao racks up five blocks on Amare -Deke wags the finger in the faces of men 20 years his junior -I forget Charlie Ward exists -Vin Baker is put into the game -David Wesley pwns the first quarter.
The Spurs and the Heat are already machines, and the Rockets IMO are becoming like one. I love it when the Rockets are becoming like a machine.
the old school attitude & grit these guys are laying out. the end for at least now of the fire the coach chatter. the way I start making sure I see every game. period. dk,jon boy, wesley, yao mac, cd, coach, howard, mj of course too..and the bench jumpin around..man this is sweet..
...when Yao grabs 20 boards ...when mike james hits the running floater ...When Jon Barry dishes a no look behind the back (lug under her shoulder under her head under his toe HEHEHE) pass. ...when VanGundy calls out the Orlando GM ...when we move up in the standings
I love it when Yao slips past his defender on the baseline and dunks. I've never seen a tree with legs do that. He is usually much less fluid than that so when he does it, his defender must feel really, really bad. I think the simplest pleasure is just watching this team play together. And especially when T-Mac distributes. He has that long loping stride and makes it all seem effortless. Then, when T-Mac throws off his defender with his lazy eye---he's going that way; oh s**t!, he went the other way! DUNK! The away crowd goes OOOOOOH, the home crowd goes YEEEEAH!
i agree with pretty much everything everyone has said but one thing always amazes me and makes me think "how'd he do that?!?!" it's when t-mac pops up a shot with little arch and it goes in the basket like a dart on a dartboard. it seems like there is a magnet that attracts the ball and zaps it in the goal. he hardly looks like he aims, quick release and before you know it, he's playing D. my jaw drops and i have no idea how he does it. he is a shooting machine!! so glad he's on our team.
I love it when Yao snares 12-15 rebounds in a game and stays out of foul trouble. When he does that, there's not a center in the league - Shaq included - that's better than he is. Even if Yao doesn't reach 20 pts.
