I'm a Christian. Pretending Christians face anything remotely resembling real oppression in the United States is a slap in the face to people of faith all over the world who actually do experience that sort of oppression. It's ridiculous.

 

There are definitely Christians around the globe that do face persecution especially in Islamic dominated regions but ya, to pretend the religion that has the most influence in our politics and social discourse in the US is persecuted is laughable.

If Christians are persecuted in the US, God help the atheists, Muslims, Jews, Hindus etc in the US.


Obviously dachuda is trolling but for the Christians in America who sincerely believe they are the most persecuted group in America, that has a lot to do with them perceiving losing hierarchical control at the top as being persecuted.

Note: Not all Christians, there are certainly many who are fine people who embrace the true teachings of Christ. Love one another. My post references those who twist that message to oppress others, cry oppression and practice their hypocrisy.

 

Religious Christians in the US are either extremely hateful or some of the kindest people you'll ever meet. You have the "god hated the gays" Christians who are anti-"anything that isn't white Christian" and then you have those who willingly take in refugees in their church and take care of them.

My next door neighbors are some of the best Christians even though they definitely voted for Trump and hang a blue lives matter flag on their garage. They have taken many families into their home when they are in need and treat them like they are their own including several black families for months at a time. If all Christians were like them, I would have no issue, because they are better people than me.
