You're just looking to start a foolish controversy. Barkley loves white people, his wife is white. Don't be a fool all your life. Barkley simply has a power forwards mentality, and he appreciates strength on the inside, not weakness. Grow up.
I least like the Mavs. They are a bunch of floppers who complain about every call. Man, Nowitski is now the best actor on the court. The guy flops more than Stockton and Malone combined. And, Cuban is starting to get on my last nerve. The guy cried so much about terrible calls that he is benefitting from them now!
Barkley says some pretty stupid stuff. Never a direct insult but one can infer, read between the lines, what is he is trying to say. As for the Michael Finley comment, he is paid to say stuff like that. I swear that is what TNT wants. For example, when Barkley made an “ASS” of himself On November 7th Barkley had publicly criticized Yao Ming on TNT saying that if the Rockets big fella could score 19 points, he'd "kiss Kenny's ass". It draws big ratings when Barkley says stupid stuff. Barkley is simply being used for rating while at the same time tarnishing his own image of once being the league MVP to being a questionable racist while his credibility points keep falling. But back to the point, the Michael Finley comment Barkley made last night was not a remark of great analysis but one of telling Nash to pass more to his good buddy Finley to help win the series. But of course, that is all BS because: First) Dirk and Nash are the legit all stars for Dallas because they got voted in by the coaches around the league who vote players in based on talent not popularity. Second) Dirk, was the one who won Dallas the game, and if anything Dirk needs more shot attempts. Third) No expert NBA analyst that I know of has even said the key to Dallas winning this championship is to get Michael Finley more involved and more shot attempts. The only key I have heard is Dirk needs to be on fire and Van Exel is the x-factor and they need better defense. Conclusion: The point is, <B>I don’t think Barkley is a racist, although if he was Caucasian he might be labeled as one based on some of the things he has said, but I think Barkley has what I call diarrhea of the mouth</B>. I was stating my opinion and asking if anybody eldse thought the same thing. second of all, never did i label barkley a racist. i think this is more a black pride thing than racism. everybody knows blacks dominate sports, especially basketball. i don't think he would ever want to see a shot to that. similar to the USA losing in the world championships. that was a shot to our pride. this is my opinion. think before you speak, idiot.
there is no way that charles is racist against white people. he just says it like it is. i remember a few years ago when michael finley made the all star team and dirk nowitzki didnt, he told finley straight up that he thought dirk desreved to be on the team more than him. so for barkley to hate on the mavs just for havin a bunch of white guys is ridiculous. i think the reason he doesnt give them much credit is because he knows they will eventually lose and because they are way too soft.
Please, this is just dumb. They're plenty of good reasons for Barkley, a post playing, rebounding, mix-it-up power forward to dislike the outside shooting, generally soft, Mavs other than the fact they have a lot of white players. Barkley doesn't like them for the style that they play, just like I don't. I'm also a black male, and if anyone cited racism as the reason behind my dislike of the Mavs, I'd kick their ass. This is more than just stating an opinion. I closer to an insistance of truth than anything. An IMO or "I think" would've helped your case greatly. P.S. Also, Barkley's all time favorite post player? Barkley prejudiced against white players? I doubt it. He used to have a big hangup with foreign players, as evidenced in last year's draft , but he seems to have gotten over that.
Yeah Charles can be a little prick sometimes, but I don't think he's racist. He's just saying that crap to be funny. I don't know about his feelings toward foreign players, but I do know that Kenny can't stand them. Hopefully he's changed his tune about them cause eventually half of the league will consist of foreign players.
